Odd design for iPad protection

There’s a lot to like. The keyboard is great with snappy keys and fast connection time. I’m just confused about the decision to connect it to the other part of the case using magnets. That means each time you move it, the keyboard can become disengaged from the iPad portion of the case, which can lead to more dropping of the device. Also, because of the way the keyboard connects, the swipe up bar used to get to other apps sometimes is harder to access with a simple swipe. I feel like I’m always readjusting the angle of the screen to access the swipe bar. It’s just not a good design. I’d love to see this case redesigned with a 360 swivel instead.

Just What I Wanted in a Case

I wanted protection around all 4 sides of the iPad Pro 12.9” as well as a keyboard that I could easily detach when using the iPad to draw and take hand-written notes. The Zagg Rugged Book Go Keyboard Folio Case did just that.
You can adjust the angle of display easily. Some reviews commented on disliking the keyboard magnetic attachment, so I was a little worried how I would like that. The keyboard fully detaches easily and you can use the keyboard separated entirely from the iPad - like a monitor keyboard. I’ve included pictures showing that.
I wondered about a keyboard that required charging since there is nothing I hate more than starting work and a keyboard dies, requiring me to wait on recharge. With this keyboard, it takes the usb c charger from my iPad Pro 12.9” generation 4. You can plug the keyboard in right out of the box and start using it. Convenient to not have to carry yet another charging cable.
Initially, the case that the iPad snaps into was extremely difficult to get the iPad into - it fits really tight. The key is to move the stand on the back down so that you can flex the entire case more on the corners to get the iPad in. It fits very snuggly, so I feel it is really secure. I have an Invisible Shield glass+ screen protector on my iPad too, so it will fit with that.
I’m very pleased with the result. Give it a try - you won’t be disappointed.

My original plan was to purchase the Apple Keyboard but the Best Buy Salesperson suggested this option. This one is significantly lower in price but the function , protection and quality are excellent for the price. It is a bit heavier but the first time you drop it and nothing happens to it, you will appreciate the protection it offers. The unit seems to hold a charge reasonably well.

I like this keyboard and case however when fitting the iPad Pro 4 the corners where hard to seat. Its provides great protection for an expensive asset and the pen sits nicely. I would give this a five star but the corners where an issue so they get 4.

I really like this case. the keyboard feels really good for typing and easy to use or remove. When I first got this it was a little different to get used to because the base to hold up the case pulls down from the bottom instead of pulling from top out (case looks like an L not an A). I wasn't sure about this in the store, but now really really like it. The pencil stays in place but easy to remove when needed. the only drawback, if you want to call it that, is if trying to use the keyboard on your lap- like in a car, the base is near the end of your knees, so doesn't feel totally stable. Overall great product.

A bit bulky but I guess that's how it's supposed to be In order to be a protective case and do it's job. The keyboard is nice as well

My occupation requires me to do word processing quite a bit. I like this keyboard better than the one I have on my laptop, in fact I wish I was using it on this review. It makes my iPad pro into a very nice travel office as I can have the ease of an iPad with the functionality of a laptop. Battery life has been good so far, only one recharge and I use it quite frequently.

Got the iPad for wife and she needed a protective cover that wasn’t heavy or a hassle to carry round. This is perfect. Keyboard is magnetic and and allows just the protected iPad to be transported easily. Wish it had a track pad, which the Magic Keyboard has. But don’t think it’s worth $300 for something my wife will seldom use. Most of the time she uses her iPad in tablet mode anyways. So this is a great solution for us.

The case is nice with the pencil holder, stand, and sturdiness sleek design; however, the keyboard attachment just doesn’t seem to work well with the iPad and is honestly not comfortable to type on or useable other than being on a completely flat surface like a desk. I expected it to help my iPad be a laptop replacement but if I’m doing a paper or typing extensively I will get my laptop out instead. Case is protective but the keyboard is not worth it.

Overall, this case is great and really allows me to be more functional on an iPad, as I used to struggle with the touchscreen keyboard. My only complaint is how tough the buttons for power and sound can be, especially when you’re trying to take a screenshot. I wish it was easier to feel if you’ve pressed those buttons. That said, this is still a much easier way to get the most out of my iPad and I’m looking forward to using this out in the world once the pandemic dies down

This is my 2nd Zagg rugged book case. I bought my first one a couple years ago for my iPad Pro 9.7in. I love that so much I bought another one for my new iPad Pro 12.9in. I didn’t like the new Apple keypad because it doesn’t protect the iPad. This Zagg case protects the iPad 24/7. It’s comfortable in your hands and the keyboard is amazing.

Works great to protect my new iPad. The keyboard is magnet attached and is strong so you don’t drop it off when carrying it, which is what I used as afraid of. You can use the keyboard when it is not attached to the iPad and keep them apart if needed.

This is the best case I’ve ever owned! I love everything about it. Battery lasts for what seems like a long time magnetized and eaisly diconnected so you can use just the tablet itself. The adjustable kickstand on the back of the tablet is real stout and holds up my ipad with ease. Price point is great compared to others also.

I got this because I wanted to be able to use my iPad to do more without having to stress my fingers by tapping the screen so much and I’m glad that I did get this. It significantly cheaper than the new apple keyboard attachment that costs nearly $300 but it’s an amazing product!

I like the protection this provides over the Magic Keyboard. The weight is good, and overall I am happy with my decision to return my magic keyboard.
Items worth noting: The keyboard lays on top of the case/ipad and the hinge is attached via a magnet. It's somewhat strong, but know that a light drop and the keyboard/cover will fly off of the device since it's essentially just laying on top.
Additionally, the case has a one inch piece that the magnets are housed in/where the hinge hardware is. I noticed my iPad getting warm in that specific spot and wasn't sure if the case blocks any fans that vent heat? Honestly, it may just be my imagination, and my ignorance.
9/10 would buy again. Great cost-effective case with a great keyboard to type on.

It’s great! I can detach the keyboard what helps me a lot if I just want to watch something. The keyboard is really good too. I don’t even have to speak about the protection on my device that zags cover gives to my iPad.

Works well and has great battery life but I miss the one piece design of my old keyboard. It was so much easier to just fold it behind when not in use.
