This guard for the ipad 2 is the best on the market I have to say and the deal that best buy has is even better when purchased and installed by them they guarantee the life of the guard so if it is to ever bubble off, tear, scratch it is replaced for FREE! It reduces glare which on this big screen is a plus and it doesn't show nasty finger prints all over it does an amazing job of keeping the screen clear of smudges and protect the glass that has a chemical in the glass that deteriorates with time if cleaned without a guard so if you don't have a guard at all I would recommed you go and get something anything to protect you investment!

The screen is hard to look at. I wish I would have read the reviews before buying this. Waste of money.

I understand this shield has scratch-healing abilities. I don't see scratches. I have the non-glossy shield. I wish it was a little more transparent as I can see a grainy surface - but it is not a problem.

I have an iPad 2 that I wanted to buy a screen protector for. There were a number of choices available but I chose the Zagg model that offered some resistance to glare and smudges. Having placed protective film covers on cell phones and iPods previously, I was familiar with how challenging and technique sensitive some applications can be. Working with a flat surface, the Zagg screen protector went on easily and without any problems. Fingerprints and smudges are not a problem like they were on the uncovered glass screen, and it does offer some improved visibility with glare reduction.

If you purchase this item have the Geek Squad install it. It will look and work better for you. I tried to install the first myself and really botched it up.

My wife uses her iPad as a therapy device for speech therapy students in a public elementary school. The screen gets touched by all sorts of kids dripping God only knows what, and kids are not gentle on the screens. The smudge proof screen protector does an excellent job of protecting the iPad glass from "kid goo" and helps keep the screen readable and less disgusting at the end of a school day. My only recommendation is that you bite the bullet and pay the Geek Squad to install it - if you try to install it yourself, you might as well just take $30 and throw it in the trash.

This is a great screen protector. Does a great job of reducing glare and keeps the fingerprints off the screen. Also it is nice and thick so there is no need to worry if a stray object in your bag will poke through it. It is easy to apply and reapply.this is the ONLY protector that I have ever had that didn't attract dust as soon as I took the protective layer off of it causing bubbles when applied. Also the application method of this protector involves using a liquid solution which also helps get out all air bubbles for a nice smooth application. WONDERFUL PROTECTOR!

Some day matte finish will not be so grainy. Until then I wouldn't recommend getting this.

I love the shield and I'm glad I got the installation with it. I don't believe I could have done it as well. It is my opinion that the installation should have been done at no charge.

At first it seemed a bit spungy but after a days use it is easy to get use to the feel. So far I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it and I have recommended it to a friend.

At the beginning the installation looked intimidating but once I started the process I realized it's easier than expected and the end result could't be better!

The best thing about this screen protector is the anti-glare! It is nice to be able to work on the iPad in a well lit room and not see my reflection!

Worth every penny. Great protective screen cover, almost never shows finger prints. I love the non reflective, anti glare film, makes reading much easier without the glare from the shinny iPad screen. Virtually indestructible but if you do the company will replace it for free when registered. I had mine professionally installed by best buys geek squad for $15. Guaranteed no bubbles and perfect adhesion, well worth it.

Had best buy install this shield on my iPad2... Been a good product so far. I dont understand all the negative reviews

This thing works just as advertised. I was a little intimidated by the installation, but was pleasantly suprised how simple. The Solution they provide I found wasn't enough, however it is just >50% Isopropyl Alcohol so easy enough to make. One thing to take note of if you wear Polarized Sunglasses while reading, chances are you will have to rotate your IPAD 90degs to see the screen.

The install was a little tough but now that its on, can barely tell its there and my screen is safe.

Not sure why this product is getting a low rating. My experience has been exceptional however, I did take the advice of my sales agent and paid for Best Buy to install. Nonetheless, this product rocks. Its saved my screen at least 3 times in the first few weeks from random scratches - evan though I'm careful. Love the product!
