I needed an anti-glare protector for my iPad. Applying the shield was not too hard, but it made the screen no longer appear clean, clear, crisp. The shield made viewing on the iPad difficult, like a really old tv screen. Took it back.

I followed the recommendations for screen pre-cleaning and ensuring that enough of the solution was applied. It was fairly easy to install, but the quality of the screen has been compromised by this product. It reduces the sharpness while providing little anti-glare properties. There are also some quality issues with the material used (perfect vertical seams through a portion of the shield, top to bottom). For the $$$, not worth it at all.

Don't buy this product, unless you really want an expensive, dark, grainy screen. The BestBuy rep. was nice enough to accept the return when I showed him my iPad with this screen on.

This thing is a piece of garbage. It clings to everything and if it happens to get stuck to itself you're screwed! And there is not enough of the solution supplied in the little spray bottle. The tips I read say the bottle can be re-filled if need be. Really...how? By the time I got even CLOSE to having it aligned on my IPad it was all mucked up. I gave up after about 15 minutes. This product isn't worth more than $5.00 at most... and they charge you $30.00!! The package advertises "Millions Sold". I wonder how many of those millions became as frustrated as I did? Save your money!

My husband and I got this for our iPad2. This protector is tough and does exactly what it is made to do - protect the iPad2 screen! The technician at Best Buy installed this for us (for free!) and did a great job. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because the screen is suppose to be 'smudge proof' but finger prints can still be seen. Of course, some of the prints could be from the sticky fingers of my 3 year old who loves to play with the iPad2. Maybe I should look more into what it means to be 'smudge proof.' We occasionally wipe the screen with a lens wipe or similar to clean off the prints and other build-up. Many of the reviews listed here gave this product a low rating because it changes the clarity and view of the iPad2. There are two types of these invisible shields made from Zagg. This one provides anti-glare/smudge proof, the other does not. (This is the same as screen protectors for smart phones!) If you don't mind looking through the anti-glare, then get this one. If you are concerned with keeping the crisp, clear view the iPad2 offers, then DO NOT purchase this shield -- purchase the clear one!

Please Don't buy, first of all it's about impossible to get on half strait, then if you manage that without miraculously putting finger prints all over it you'll come to realize it makes your screen look like something out of the fog... I wouldn't wish this piece of plastic on my worst enemy!!!

I got this shield to protect my iPad 2. It's very hard to install and it not invisible . Not happy withit. Very expensive - poor quality

The Zagg "invisible shield" was anything but invisible. The iPad shield was hard to put on and get rid of all the bubbles. Instructions indicated the display would become clear after several days, but it didn't. The end result was a display that looked dull and didn't come anywhere close to being clear. It did not meet the advertisement on the package of being "invisible". I would not recommend this product to anybody.

Some trouble installing at first but after some extra hands in the mix we did get it put on. It doesn't show any finger prints on the screen and really feels that it protects the screen from scratches. The clarity isn't as nice as if it wasn't on but if you don't like cleaning finger prints every time you use your pad and want some protection from scratches this works well for that.

The smudge-proof shield is AWFUL. I pulled mine off 6 hours after buying it - a very expensive lesson learned. It distorted images on my screen and actually hurt my eyes after a half-hour of trying to read. After tossing this smudge-proof shield I went out and bought the original version....what a difference! Not having smudges on your I-Pad screen is not worth having to strain and adjust your eyes to the screen.

The directions and procedure were too difficult for me to install myself because I didn't want to take a chance and mess up my new ipad. Ended up returning this item which they took back gracefully. They told me that this item was returned a lot. Geek Squad will install for $15.00.

This thing sure avoids the smudges... does that brilliantly. But the screen is sudden very confusingly 'unclear'!!! It is a little tough reading using this screen.

Sales rep said the effect on screen sharpness and resolution was minimal. NOT SO. The visual experience of ultra sharp vivid images was part of the attraction to the iPad for me. I do a lot of work with images and the glare reduction really RUINS the sharpness, clarity and vividness of the iPad screen. I purchased it primarily for the glare reduction, but if sacrificing screen clarity to this degree is the price I pay for reduced glare, it's not worth the price to me. Horrible product. Only reason I gave it 2 stars was because it actually does reduce glare as promised, so if quality of the viewing experience doesn't matter to you, you might like it. I prefer to keep my clarity and just sit in the shade when I'm outdoors with my iPad.

really am not pleased with the look - diminishes vibrancy. the anti-glare was not worth it. my ipad was dropped and chipped corner of glass - protector probably save the rest of the screen - so thankful for that

I wish there was an option to give this product zero stars. First, the cutouts don't quite line up. Second, once it's on, the cover creates a blue, red and yellow pixelation that makes it very hard to see the screen clearly. I removed this screen cover after three days. A total waste of $35. I have had very good experiences with zagg covers for my phones, but this cover for the iPad2 is a total miss.

I'm not to crazy about it. They installed it at the store and the screen doesnt look that great. I have it for protection but m considering removing it .

This is the second screen protector I bought from them. The first was for the first gen iPad. I also bought the back cover "made for the iPad 2 3G". Not only does it not fit but it also feels like and is as tough as layered Saran wrap. I tried this with the last iPad and it did not work, so I was hoping for the best this time around. Well, this product was even worse. Do yourself a favor and read the rest of the reviews and you find a consistant track record for this product.

Poor picture quality with this shield attached. It really distorts the screen and is very difficult to use. My recommendation is to get the basic screen saver which is what I did with my other iPad at it is much better!

I purchased this and was very disappointed. I tried to return it to best buy and was told that it was non refundable and that I should contact the manufacturer. I contacted the manufacturer and never received a response. Their online policy says that they are able to refund if purchased through Zagg directly but if purchased through a retail store then refunds go through the retailer. So I ate the loss and purchased the non glare version, which is working well.

Eerybody is slamming for reducing display quality. I have had mine on my iPad2 for several weeks and did a side by side comparison with my wife's iPad2 with same image and settings. I found there to be a negligible difference if any. It was a little tough to install, but to be expected. With care and patience I was able to install straight and even. Over time all the bubbles went away. I have an Otterbox Reflex cover on as well. With the cover on, there is some slight bubbling on the edge in certain areas. This is a result of the cover, not the Zagg. If there is any reduction in image quality I don't see it. Besides, it is better than having scratched up iPad2. I suspect that the people with complaints of funny colors and distortion may be a result of something with the application process?
