Of all the cases for your iPad the Belkin is the best of the average. On the plus side it will protect the iPad as it is designed to do. But that´s about it. On the negative, it converts your iPad in a Notebook as you can only open it so far. The case forces you into a simple open or close positions. Not allow to use as a tablet. Also the keys on the keyboard are not backlit. In conclusion, if you want an iPad Notebook, this is your case. If you are looking for a real case, go for something else...

I don't know if everyone who has this the ZAGG - ZAGGfolio Bluetooth Keyboard Case for Apple iPad Air 2 - Black notices that the Magnetic Sleep/Awake function doesn't work. I believe it's because the magnet within the keyboard is placed incorrectly. It's between the keys and the space bar when it should be by the edge where your palms rest when you're typing. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that the case doesn't close completely as well. I believe this model available at Best Buy might be a defective batch as I've been to 2 Best Buy branches and tried out 3 of the same case and they all don't have that function working. I asked the Geek Squad and they couldn't figure it out either. The service at the stores was fine. People were helpful and courteous. I returned the keyboard and am disappointed as I like the way the keys felt when you type. I think the case as a whole provides sufficient protection. It's sad that a simple function like Sleep/Awake doesn't work. At the end of the day, you don't want to pay $90 for a defective product.

Keyboard is nice, only thing i dont like is it dont have a touchpad mouse. Keep having to use screen and keyboard both. Other than that everything is wonderful.

I wish I had read the reviews of this item before purchasing. The hinge on this unit locked up after only 4 weeks and so I tried returning it to the Best Buy at Greenbrier in Chesapeake VA. The manager refused to exchange the unit because the hinge was broken. I explained the hinge was broken due to a manufacturer's defect but he still refused to help me. I was so disappointed and now question if I'll ever do business again with Best Buy. I contacted ZAGG and the young lady there was very polite and professional. They are sending out a replacement unit so hopefully the new case will work better.

Great case and keyboard,would recommend this item to everyone

If you are doing a lot of typing it is good. If you are playing touch screen games it is in the way sometimes.

I really like this although it is a bit heavy. The necessary openings are all in the right places and I like the key board. I didn't use one on my old iPad but this is really easy.

But after two of us put our heads together we were able to get it connected and I'm glad I have it.

This is the best keyboard case. It stays charged for a long time and is easy to pair up. Zagg is a great brand. I wouldn't buy any other brand.

I purchased the Zagg portfolio keyboard for my Ipad Air 2. The actual keyboard itself works great but there is a design flaw in the hinge which broke one month after purchase. I called Zagg and they sent out a new one. That hinge lasted maybe two months before it went out as well. I just kept the case and taped both hinges and that got me another 6 months of product use before it actually cracked apart. Again, great keyboard (spacing, connectivity, etc..) but HORRIBLE HINGES!!!!!

I didn't realize until after two months that the keyboard is NOT a BACKLIT keyboard & does no capabilities of turning around, otherwise I would have never purchased it. Now it's too late to exchange the Zagg keyboard and I'm unhappy as I paid $99 plus Tax for it.

I went into 3 different stores looking for the perfect keyboard that doubled as a case.. I was skeptical at first because this keyboard was more expensive but I loved its compact case. I've had it for about 6 months now and the piece that hinges it open is separating causing the monitor (top half) wobble and eventually fall off. For the price, it's an amazing case/ keyboard.. I think I've charged the keyboard twice (it's a Bluetooth).. Not sure if it's worth rebuying or trying something a little more reputable.

I used this case for school, and the hinge kept breaking, I thought it was just a random error in my case, so I got another. But within 2 weeks the hinge broke again.

Have been using this product since 2 months, and it lives upto its expectations. Bought it at a discounted price 30$ during Thanksgiving!!

I love and rely on my zagg case and use it all day every day for note taking, reading emails, and reading books and newspapers. It's a fantastic product. However, I have to come to Best Buy every several months to replace it because it's built to fall apart. And that's not because I'm rough on it or misuse it. Fortunately, Best Buy always replaces it since I pay for the warranty, but it's a bit silly to have such a superb product with such poor durability.

This keyboard case is such a disappointment after using the ZAGGkeys PROfolio for over 3 years on my iPad 2. I need the protection and convenience of doing office work on a keyboard, so I bought this one because of my past experience with ZAGG. Several different problems for me: (1) there are gaps around the case around the corner with the power & volume buttons; (2) inputting the passcode has a lag before it registers; (3) the hinge is wobbly and rocks back & forth when I touch the screen with either my fingers or stylus; (4) if the hinge is back too far, it's top heavy with the iPad in the cover, so the keyboard lifts up and could cause the whole device to topple over; (5) the hinge bar is too big and makes it difficult to use iMessage when you press Send. I love ZAGG products & so it's clear they rushed production on this item to get something on the market. Apple really should have given the design to developers much sooner so people like me have a good, protective case for their expensive iPad Air 2. I will also post this review to ZAGG so they're aware. This item was bought online and I have already returned it, paying $13.10 for postage. Not a happy camper and I would not recommend any power user get this keyboard case. I'm still waiting for a better case to come along.

This is my 3rd iPad keyboard; my 2nd Zagg keyboard. The first Zagg was nice, but the iPad kept falling out of the slot in the keyboard (I use it on my lap quite often). My second was a Logitech, which had some nice features (magnetic stand instead of a slot holds the tablet better); however, the keyboard layout is ever so slightly non-standard, causing me to mistype certain keys with regularity. I am not a heavy user- just use my iPad for ready ebooks. First thing I noticed is that the magnet that closes the folio is not very strong and and unless completely closed the screen light stays on and uses battery life from the iPad. You have to remember to turn it off before closing the cover. But the worst thing is the hinge broke after less than 2 months use and not the iPad does not sit open unless I lean it against something.

The red Zagg was cheaper than the black, but I guess you get what you pay for. Works fine, but would rather have the black.

The response time of the keyboard from sleep is more than 10 seconds. Once awake, the response time is sluggish, but not horrible. I've had this product about 6 weeks and the hinges are already broken just from normal use. One day I opened it and heard a snap. That was it. Don't waste your money.
