I have read several reviews where people nick-pick the details of the culture or behavior of the local people in the film. While some of these may be correct, I don't think it takes away from the over-all plot. This wasn't the "edge of the seat" intensity that is felt in Hurt Locker, but it does have that Bigelow feeling of you being in the movie and relating to the characters. I very much enjoyed this movie. I have watched it a couple times and enjoyed it the second just as much as the first. My only real gripe is Chastain felt a little stiff in the movie. There was one scene with her yelling at Chandler that seemed real, but out of character since the rest of the time, the acting felt a little lazy from her. The supporting characters did a great job of building the plot.

Every American should see this film, period. It in my view (and I have read tons on the matter) is as close as you are going to get to a true history of a monumental effort and success by a large group of great Americans many of whom gave their lives to make it happen. I wish everyone on earth could see this film. The acting is riveting. The action is solidly portrayed. You will be immersed in this tale, perhaps more than most films due to the historical reality. That having been said, if you are like me, you will walk away from having seen this movie thinking you knew the outcome. Please consider that although you knew the outcome, you had no idea of the bravery, industry and dumb luck that went into a moment of American history that should be taught around the world.

In case anyone else was comparing the BB Steelbook to the Standard Blu Ray release, please note that the Steelbook does in fact contain all of the same discs as the Standard version. Both discs are layered on the right hand side of the open case. 1 BD, 1 DVD, a code for the UV, and the code for the map pack.

This is a great movie detailing the intelligence and the persistence of a single individual who successfully used gut feeling and provided intelligence on tracking the world's most wanted terrorist. The beginning of the movie depicts some of the methods used by the CIA of interrogation of terrorists that was fairly intense. This movie is heavy on the intelligence side and a bit light on the action of the raid on Bin Laden's Pakistan fortress. Great movie to pair with Seal Team Six for a more complete story of the action and the intelligence into the raid

I saw this movie the day it released in theaters because I knew this was going to be an incredible film the moment I saw the first trailers. I was amazed and ended up seeing it again a week later because I thought it was that good. It was only right that I bought the steelbook blu-ray the day it released as well. Like the theater but, in the comfort of my room, the movie presentation was beautiful and the sound was amazing. This movie has already become one of my favorites and I feel I can watch this and never get tired of the repeated viewings.

After all the hype leading up to the Oscars, I was a bit worried that this would be another critics choice disaster. About 20 minutes into the film it was obvious that my worries were for unfounded. An astounding film with great performances from all the lead actors and most of the supporting cast as well. Well written, excellent pacing, and makes a great bookend with Argo. The Bluray is nearly perfect audio and video with the special added Best Buy exclusive content to top it off.

I thought this movie was absolutely amazing. I've watched Seal Team 6 and numerous documentaries on the Osama takedown. I was expecting this to be very similar to those, but it was not at all! It takes on a great plot from the beginning and the acting by Kathryn Bigelow is some of the best I've ever seen. The graphics and detailed action are great! I highly recommend this movie to all that enjoy action and if you enjoyed the Osama takedown documentaries, this is a MUST BUY!

Even if this isn't exactly what happened, Kathryn Bigelow has made one of the most intense movies of all time. The pacing is deliberate and works much better than it did in The Hurt Locker. Don't let the controversy keep you away! Jessica Chastain gives an amazing performance and the last half hour of this is non-stop edge-of-your-seat moments. On top of all that it asks us to consider the cost of victory which makes it so much more than "the Bin Laden movie."

This was a great film with an amazing performance from Jessica Chastain. The film, despite its 2 1/2 hour length, keeps you on the edge of your seat until the last frame. The torture scenes are understandably hard-to-watch, but thankfully they are not the main focus of the film. Absolutely deserving of its Best Picture nomination, I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone interested in a well-crafted film.

This is a great movie. It is very interesting to see the behind the scenes action regarding the greatest manhunt of all time. While it is not possible to know for sure, it seems like a legitimate storyline. The action(s) seem realistic and as accurate as you can probably get without direct government involvement. A definite must-see about a huge part of our recent history.

The Steel book, combo pack was the same price as the regular, so it was a no-brainer. The movie was highly talked about and I could not wait to see it on disc. Because of this movie, the female agent's actions were revealed to the world, more than any media outlet, during the actual event or thereafter. I was glad to see female inclusion in history vs a footnote in passing. I found the details eye opening but I am sure there are lots, still missing. The movie has a Digital Copy included .

All in all, a well filmed and well developed story about the particulars of gathering and then analyzing information. The primary woman investigator and analyst was relentless in her pursuit of her target. Though sifting through info can be boring, the director moved things along to keep the viewer involved. This was a fine job and very well acted.

This was a blind buy, but definitely not one of the better ones. I had high hopes and was greatly anticipated this release based on the positive buzz when it was released theatrically. It my be more rewarding on a second viewing, so I'll give it another shot. The good news is that it's a solid release with great picture and sound quality. I only wish the special features were more substantial. I picked up the steelbook release and it's one of the betters ones.

I honestly couldn't have been more invested with this movie. I loved it from beginning to end. I had heard how great it was going to be and what not but the movie totally lived up to its hype. Jessica Chastain definitely did a good job in her role. It was definitely a female empowering movie. I would recommend them for ages 18 and up.

Zero dark thirty is an excellent movie. Although people question if the actual manhunt is accurate it should not be a reason to miss this movie. It delivers suspense, the acting is superb, and of course the plot of the movie is a no brainer. I recommend this movie if you have a pulse you should know what this movie is about.

I was entranced with this movie in my inital viewing in the theatres. 2nd viewing on Blu-Ray was still very enjoyable, but I found it running long in the middle of the film. There is a sequence where the agent is counting the days it is taking to take action and I felt a little of that frustration in 2nd and 3rd viewings. Final sequence is amazing and the build up is great. Definitely recommend everyone watch this at least once.

Great movie, capturing the true story of the hunt for and capture of Osama Bin laden. Kathryn Bigelow does a great job of seemingly bringing the viewer through the TV and into the surroundings. The only negative for some may be the intense interogation seens depicting torture, not a problem for me, but possibly for some.

I really enjoyed this film. I couldn't wait for this to come out on home video, and now that time has finally come! I was on the edge of my seat during this great take on the hunt for Bin Laden. There was nothing that I didn't like about this movie.. To me this one by far one of the best films of the year.

Once again Kathryn Bigelow hits it out of the park. The movie is filled with captivating sequences will keep you on the edge from beginning to end. The cast is one of the greatest conglomerate of talents seen in the big screen.

Zero Dark Thirty delivers an uncompromising look at America's tireless hunt for Osama Bin Laden. Kathryn Bigelow has crafted a film with technical precision that is truly an unforgettable experience. Easily one of the best films of 2012, and one which should have garnered more Academy Award wins.
