    I bought this for the ability to digitally record stereo (and even Quad) using my existing microphones - but haven't really explored that aspect yet. It's SLOW to start up. It requires MINIMUM sized SD cards - larger ones won't be recognized. It's hard to use in an ad-hoc, opportunistic way (which is how I've tried to use it.) It's been hard to figure out how to use as a tool - although it seems very promising. (Much better than various addon USB devices to my laptop.)

    Loads of website researching for the right product to take with me as I begin to record interviews in Canada and throughout the US for a podcast series lead me to this. Then two audio techs I spoke with confirmed the cyberspace info. Finally Best Buy Geek member was so helpful. Now to learn how to use this.

    I love how easy it is to use this as a multi track recorder. The guitar effects for my acoustic guitar make this thing even cooler. I don't even have a pickup in my guitar and it makes it sound like I have it hooked up to a ton of pedals.
