Great sound! And the top allows for interchangeable mics. But the one it comes with is quite good. Found it to be easy to sync to my video in FCP X. Wish I had bought this sooner!

this is a very good sound recorder, clear sound and portable, just need to handle with care since some parts can be broken easily, returned one of these items before because one the of the covers of the microphone was broken you have to open the box to review the item before you leave the store

Great little recorder used for onsite presentations. The availability of additional recorder attachments keeps it small, but powerful allowing me to stay mobile, but still capture great audio on the go.

This is AWESOME!!! You will need to refer to the manual unless u are a professional producer of music. HOWEVER, it is in simple easy to understand language & pretty straight forward. A great thing to do is to get your grandparents, parents etc to read 1 or more books into it! Maybe they know what your favorite book was when you were little & you pick a second book you like as an adult! That way you can find out stuff about yourself as a kid & someday your kids can hear distant (either by miles or health issues or unfortunate circumstances that they are not here with you anymore. Just remember to download the expandable memory of 32gig on a usb 2.0 reader & a 2.0 usb comp. plug.

Excellent recording quality, easy to use, and convenient to set up and go. Experimenting with combining with an HD video camera to make high quality DVD's.

This is hands down the best portable microphone for under 300 bucks. It hooks up with a Mac or PC so you can use it as an audio interface, has XLR so you can hook up multiple mics, and the interchangable mics are great as is. If you're just getting into recording audio (sound design, making samples, etc) the default mic is more than enough to get your feet wet and when you want to step it up you can grab some XLR mics and the shotgun mic attachment for the ultimate on the go sound setup.

I use this to record and sync sound to the acting reels I create for myself. Easy to use and high quality results.

I couldn't be happier with my zoom mic. After purchasing a camcorder that didn't include XLR jacks I was looking for a mic that would compare to the required sound. This zoom mic did the job. It has the ability to record 4 separate tracks 2 from the included mic head L/R and two XLR jacks for an external mic or instrument. There was an xd card included to save recordings. There's a multitude of professional recording options and would be a great addition to any setup.

Needed something to give me near studio quality recording out in the field as well as be able to record live music in stereo. This device does just that. Many options and an easy to navigate menu. Didn't need to read manual.

Im a sound engineer and i gatta say this recorder is perfect for just about anything! Supper flexible, great sound capture and quality and love all the attachments available. Great for film makers and audio engineers or anyone needing high quality recordings. Even the x mics it comes with are pretty awsome and supper clean

It's a great product I Highly recommend it. The H5N Has better pre amps then the H4n and is worth the extra bucks over the h4n pro.

Wow! This product is an awesome purchase. I bought the Zoom - H5 Recorder for mobile recording and the sound quality is astounding. I appreciate the ability to interchange mic recording systems and the ability to record up to four tracks at once. The sound quality continues to jump to mind when I think of this piece of gold. Worth every cent!

Little things like having a metal bar to keep you from accidentally adjusting your volumes are made because other users have complained about accidentally adjusting the volumes on other recorders. It's a well thought out device. The sound quality is also better than good.

I had the Zoom H1 for many years and loved it. I wanted to upgrade because I needed multiple XLR inputs and didn't want to use adapters any longer. I researched all of the digital recorders from Tascam and Zoom and this recorder is the best for price=performance. The controls are AWESOME and the noise is almost zero.

Always been a fan of zoom products and this one lives up to my expectations. It's great for capturing VOs, and as a field recorder for capturing audio if the video camera we are suing doesn't have xlr inputs.
