My spouse and I did not see this movie in the theater. After checking some reviews, I decided to buy for my infant son. My spouse and I have seen it twice and the kid seems interested as well. My feedback: Quality voice talent, excellent artistry, good message for children and solid plot appropriate for most ages. I won't put it up there with any of the Toy Story movies, but I personally enjoyed it more than Wall-E (which I own and enjoy), Up & Inside-Out. It's on an equal footing with Finding Nemo/Dory. I was pleasantly satisfied. On a side note, some of the Special Features really added to my respect for the technical performance of the crew behind the animation as well. For example, some of the technical/FX crew from Tangled collaborated on this film and they explained how all of the individual animals in this film present exponentially more challenges than Rapunzel with regard to animating the hair. It's rare that I'll delve into extra content so I think that adds to the quality of this title as well. I do not have a 4K television, but watching this movie made me much more open to the upgrade in the near future. Technically, Zootopia is amazing. On the whole, it's a quality add to a Disney fan's catalog, but it's not going to go down as one of the all-time classics.

It's a great movie with memorable songs, and a good message for the kids. As an adult, I certainly enjoy it and find myself still singing "I Wanna Try Everything" in my head after I watch it. The 4K video quality is excellent and the steelbook packaging is very nice, with full color disc art on both discs! The Blu-ray is a good inclusion and is needed to watch the special features, since they were only authored in HD and that saves room for a higher picture bitrate on the 4K disc.

Looking for a great movie for family night that will capture the attention of a 2 yo as well and teenagers and adults? Then Zootopia is for you. This was and continues to be a BIG hit for family togetherness. The first time we watched as a family no one used or even answered cell phones and there was NO texting. It captivated everyone's attention. Having the whole family laughing and so involved was a parent's joy. Even now, if someone starts watching it in the family room, it won't be long before others join in to watch it again. A valuable investment as it will continue to give pleasurable family time over and over.

I read some of the reviews before buying this and they were so positive that I broke my own rule and and purchased the 3D blu-ray without having seen this movie before. I think this movie is cute but unlike some other "CUTE' movies ths one is appealing to people of all ages not just children. There are so many movies being made by people pushing an agenda or trying to warp the minds of young people with their sick humor. Thank goodness this had none of that. Good clean fun. I'm happy to have added this to my movie collection. This review come from a 46 year old happily married male with 3 kids ages 8-14.

If there's one thing that's truly impressive about this film, it's the fact that it's full of heart. We see the struggle of Judy, the main female character, to prove herself not just as a woman in a world where men usually succeeds but also where she's allowing other characters that had also been judged to prove that there's always a way to prove other people wrong. Yes, this is an animated movie that you'll find yourself inspired because it is full of heart aside from obviously the laughter that it brings throughout the movie. The animation, as expected, is great and I highly recommend this movie!!!

Disney has a very high success rate for the movies it publishes. There have been a few duds (Brave Little Toaster, anyone?) but Zootopia is one of the finest. Not only does it have very likable characters but also has clever writing and hilarious jokes. Zootopia is also absolutely gorgeous. I'm an amateur 3D artist and I think the first time I watched it my jaw was on the floor the entire time. Incredible amounts of detail went into the characters and the world. They wrote an entire fur system just for this film and the work they did shows. Zootopia really has something for everyone.

Zootopia was a pleasant surprise: a movie all about overcoming innate prejudices and recognizing them in yourself that doesn't come off as unbearably preachy. This story about a young rabbit trying to be the first rabbit member of the Zootopia police force ends up being a heartfelt lesson in how readily we all force everyone around us into convenient categories that set our expectations. Judy Hopps is a small, "puny" rabbit, and so nobody on the force takes her seriously or wants her there. Nick Wilde is a fox who's forced to be a con artist because that's what foxes are expected to be. Both are unwilling partners in a plot reminiscent of the Nick Nolte/Eddie Murphy film "48 Hours" as they race to solve a missing persons case that ends up setting one half of Zootopia against the other. It used to be that you could count on Pixar to deliver truly groundbreaking animated films, while Disney Animation turned out safer, blander fare. However, with recent hits like Tangled, Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph, and now Zootopia, Disney Animation has become every bit as creative and groundbreaking as their corporate sibling. May they continue their winning streak.

Movie is trying to control how the child's mind thinks about stereotyping. It suggests police should not state facts about an ongoing investigation if it points to a specific race. The movie also shows that people can be sensitive to specific facts and information should be withheld from cavilians And also showed that government can not be trusted. 1. Tiger was hiding victims of rage shots 2. Sheep was making meet eaters the problem to get rid of them. I don't suggest this to a child. It might twist the way they look at the world. Consciously or subconsciously.

My 5 year and 10 year old girls adored this movie. I also enjoyed it. The humor; the story and the moral value they portrayed in the movie is something a child and an grown-up can enjoy alike. The story touches on few social issues that exist in our world today and we all experience in our day-2-day life’s. The story also shows how motivation, determination and hard work can help you achieve your goals in your life. Cute narration and categorization with some great production values. I got it during the black Friday deal for $8 and its worth every penny.

this movie looks to be a good one by the trailers I watched so I just had to preorder it

After I had watched this delightful movie, I decided to read a review which focused on the "morals" involved. Had I been aware of this before hand, my focus on the actual contents and story in the movie might have been impacted. Looking back at the entire story, I can certainly see where the values were expressed. I enjoyed the movie regardless and urge people to just watch the movie and let it wash over you for it's entertainment value.

Amazing movie for all ages, with the political and social climate of today's world are shockingly and accurately portrayed in the movie. This is a movie that I could watch over and over again with my kids and not get tired of it. One of the best animated movies I have seen this year. Even has points in which it teaches children lessons about thoughts, behavior and actions. It's everything a great Disney movie should be: heartwarming, funny and inspirational, it's done so well I feel like pretty much anyone would enjoy it.

Disney Animation does it again with this marvelously written animated feature, where animals of all species find peace and cooperation amongst both predators and prey! But do they really? A great collection of character personalities have been gleaned to make up the cast of this wonderful crime drama and buddy adventure. This film is an automatic Oscar contender, along with a standout song by Shakia, which should also garner a nomination! You'll want to see this more than once to experience all the nuances and hidden treasures.

Beautiful story to go with the beautiful movie. The graphics were outstanding

Got this on sale during the holiday season, well worth every penny. Been either converting or outright buying bluray for the higher quality video/audio and special features, this doesn't disappoint. Only complaint? Shakira is flat in acting and singing... If you are going to do popular pop talent, should have put Katy Perry in. At least she has more energy, heh. Doesn't detract from the rest of the film though. Here's hoping it's a long running franchise like what they've done with the Airbud Franchise!

I love to collect all the Pixar movies, especially this 4K Steelbook.

This 4K looks really good, and is a nice addition to the Disney 4Ks.
