Do note that this product is not necessary unless you have two short cables and are trying to increase their length combined.
This product is fantastic if you are a customer looking to combine two shorter cables to reach your intended outcome without having to buy an additional cable. The only drawback is that if you have two HDMI cables of differing qualities (for instance, one Monster cable and one Dynex cable), then the quality will be consistent with that of the lower cable (in this instance, it would be the Dynex cable). As such, my recommendation to ensure the best quality throughout is to have cables of the same brand so as to maintain consistency. So long as you do this, the coupler inevitably couples with ease and gets the job done most efficiently.
Related products are HDMI cables. I have ranked them from the best quality--though these cables are pricier--to decent quality, which are cheaper.
1) Monster cables are superior for both durability and quality. You can learn more by reading my review of the product on its webpage.
2) Rocketfish cables are a happy medium for both price-point and quality. Again, you can learn more by reading my review of the item.
3) Dynex cables are the most affordable and offer enough quality to get the job done, but oftentimes can end up getting ruined quite easily. As stated, you can learn more by reading my review of the product.
