A Coupler That Couples With No Hassle

Do note that this product is not necessary unless you have two short cables and are trying to increase their length combined. This product is fantastic if you are a customer looking to combine two shorter cables to reach your intended outcome without having to buy an additional cable. The only drawback is that if you have two HDMI cables of differing qualities (for instance, one Monster cable and one Dynex cable), then the quality will be consistent with that of the lower cable (in this instance, it would be the Dynex cable). As such, my recommendation to ensure the best quality throughout is to have cables of the same brand so as to maintain consistency. So long as you do this, the coupler inevitably couples with ease and gets the job done most efficiently. Related products are HDMI cables. I have ranked them from the best quality--though these cables are pricier--to decent quality, which are cheaper. 1) Monster cables are superior for both durability and quality. You can learn more by reading my review of the product on its webpage. 2) Rocketfish cables are a happy medium for both price-point and quality. Again, you can learn more by reading my review of the item. 3) Dynex cables are the most affordable and offer enough quality to get the job done, but oftentimes can end up getting ruined quite easily. As stated, you can learn more by reading my review of the product.

My HDTV has 2 HDMI inputs, but one is covered by my wall mount and is inaccessible. So I got this HDMI switch so I can connect multiple devices to my 1 available HDMI port. The switch does the job and connecting it is easy. You can change inputs with the button on the switch box or with the mini-remote that's included. Negatives: - It can be hard to tell which input it is set to or switching to next based on the LEDs on the device. - Price -- this seems very expensive for what little it does and how few components go into making this device. If there was a Best Buy Insignia branded switch it probably would be considerably less, but they don't offer that accessory yet.

I work as a Professional AV Tech. Owning a small Sound Business. I've used many HDMI couplers only to find most of them to be of poor quality. In the industry, we try to use the right length of cables with the appropriate combination of ends. HDMI to HDMI, HDMI to DVI, Etc... To reduce the risks of signal loss and to avoid another possible connection that will turn to failure. I really like these HDMI couplers made by Rocketfish. They are robust. Not to bulky like some couplers and I've seen them outperform other couplers when having issues with Signal loss. With HDMI being a Digital signal. It's very sensitive to interference.

This is a must have Adapter if you have an Amazon Fire stick or Chromecast. I have a flat screen TV mounted to the wall and my wife is OCD, so all my cables have to be concealed. So when ever I needed to hook my Firestick cr my Chromecast to the TV, I simply unplug the HDMI from my Apple TV box and plug the HDMI cable into the adapter and plug the adapter straight into the Firestick or Chromecast. That's it. It's just that easy. I love it.

This HDMI coupler does exactly what you need it to do, extend the length of an HDMI cable...But at a high cost. It is a quality built product with a nice metal housing and gold connectors, but I paid more for this coupler than a 6' HDMI cable. Still, cheaper than buying a longer HDMI cable, 50' in my case, so I guess that's why they feel they can justify the price. It seems to be just a pass-through coupler, because it works with my 3D TV, 3D Blu-ray and 3D capable A/V receiver. Get this if you need to extend a long cable run, it's cheaper than a new cable. For short runs, just get a longer cable.

I purchased this item to put two HDMI cords together I don't know why it's so hard to find a coupler this is the only one I could find at Best Buy and it was like goldplated very expensive but it's built very well I must say and it does work so it does it's job just fine but it was over $25 just for one and that seems a little bit overpriced to me so there's good and there's bad but in the end I'm a happy camper.

      Beats buying a longer cable!

Simply put I had 2 4' HDMI's and I needed a 6' or longer one. I was not in the market to buy a $60+ cable when I have plenty. So at $20 this thing allowed me to get the length I needed at minimal cost. Quality is great and everything is crystal clear. My only complaint is that this is just a coupler and they are charging a bit more than I think its worth considering what it does. I'm sure the marketers know folks will still buy considering the cost of a new/longer cable is far greater than this product is.

Not much more you can ask for in an HDMI coupler other than it works and is solid. My challenge was that my Lenovo uses a mini-HDMI connector and I walk into conference rooms that usually have a full-sized HDMI. The multi-adapters end up creating an odd turn in the HDMI cable that often caused screen flashes on the projector as things were loose. So... mini to full-sized HDMI cable, full-sized HDMI coupler, and George's your uncle!
