Q: Can this be purchased without the ice cube maker?
A: Yes the model number ends in 13 instead of 15. And clearly shown at Samsung website. Exact same product without ice maker. As if you remove ice maker from one with it you need plastic piece to cover small hole.

A: The fridge is not on heavy duty wheels like older fridges.. but circle thingys that do slid pretty good.
Q: Does this unit have auto defrost?
A: This is a frost free unit.
A: Answer is no. The control box has a Freezer converter touch button and it only operates for the freezer compartment itself to a refrigerator. You can remove the ice maker box tray for more space.

A good overall fridge
The one star knock off on this review was solely because of the shelf positioning within the fridge. The pull out shelf with the fridge at the top means that all of the other shelves have to be much lower in order to accommodate larger items like pitchers and milk. I like to keep water bottles on the bottom shelf, which leaves the middle shelf to be way too narrow. Turning on the ice maker is also a little confusing at first because the same button for the power cool is the same as the ice maker. Those are the only negatives to this fridge. I love that it holds magnets on the front. I love the ice maker. I love the color (I got the black stainless steel). This fridge ticked on everything on my want list for a fridge - except for the shelf configuration. I can live with that though!

Amazing!!
First time buying a Samsung appliance. I can not begin to tell you how pleased, I am with this fridge. It’s PERFECT. It just blends in with the kitchen. The features are awesome. We use the slide out pantry all the time. You can not even hear it running, and the ice maker takes like a second to fill up. It’s like it knows when you have enough ice made. Don’t think for a moment this fridge doesn’t have enough room...IT DOES! We are going to buy the other appliances that match the fridge. WE ARE JUST SO HAPPY WITH THE PRODUCT
