Q: Questionmy ice maker will not make ice what can I check to make sure its working properly>

- A:Answer Check to see if the ice off function is illuminated on the front of the freezer door ? Did you run several gallons of water through the water lines. You may have air in the lines therfore no ice. There is a test button which is visible after you pull the ice tray out. I had to run this before the tray would fill with water. Hope this helps

Q: QuestionFreezer temperatureMy freezer temperature ranges from 0 to -20 with no manual changes to the setting; and the setting is set low (at the 2nd bar). Do I need to have to have it repaired? I purchased it Oct 2013.

Since the RS261MDBP uses a bar-style display to regulate the temperature, it would be interesting to know what type of thermometer you're using to measure the temperature in your freezer, and where you're placing it. The temperature can vary from one location to another, and the placement of household thermometers may not be the most accurate way to check the temperature in your freezer. I would suggest calling 888-BEST BUY or 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can help determine whether service will be necessary to determine if your cooling system or control panel are functioning properly.
