We bought this Sony TV to replace a two and half year old 65” LG OLED that suffered from the dreaded burn-in in the form of a large green spot in the middle of the screen. After reading and watching many reviews I decided that the X950H had lots of things going for it including the price which was $1000 less than last year’s 77 inch OLED (which I had ordered and then canceled) with no fear of burn-in issues. Delivery from Best Buy was perfect. It was on time and they bought it into the house. I did not pay for setup as I enjoy doing that kind of thing myself. Setup was super easy and Android TV works well. It has every streaming app that we use. That being said we mostly use an Apple TV for streaming primarily because of the music functionality. The Sony remote works well and controls our cable box as well. While the blacks are not OLED level I rarely notice the difference. What is different is the brightness of HDR content. It’s really impressive. Our room is relatively dark so sometimes the brightness of the TV is almost startling. Also impressive is the color accuracy out of the box. For me there was no need to get it calibrated. The color is excellent. As expected Sony motion handling is really good and the upscaling of satellite TV content makes it look much better than it has any right to. Backlighting control seems good and I haven’t noticed any egregious blooming around bright objects. It is fairly heavy at around 75 lbs so if you’re mounting it you will need 2 people. If you’re using the feet be aware that they are really set wide and are quite deep. I had it on the feet sitting on top of an 84 inch media cabinet (while waiting for a new mount) that is 16.5 inches deep. The feet are 16.25 inches deep so it seemed a little precarious with no margin fo error. The only negative thing I can say about this TV was some really noticeable “rainbow” reflections across the screen while it was sitting on the media cabinet. I am going to include some photos of that. Apparently this is caused by a layer in the screen overlay that is there to increase the viewing angle. It was only noticeable in dark content but was super annoying. Initially I was thinking of sending the TV back. Even with no light sources in direct line of sight from the TV the reflections were still an issue. I finally solved the problem by mounting the TV up on the wall with a downward angle toward the couch. That completely did away with the annoying reflections. I am using it with Klipsch “The Fives” powered speakers with a Klipsch subwoofer and it always detects the speakers and they will switch to the TV as the source when I turn it on. That was hit and miss with the LG. I have not used the internal speakers on the TV. It doesn’t have HDMI 2.1 so if that’s an important feature to you this probably isn’t the TV you should buy. We’ve had the TV for a month and we couldn’t be happier with the X950H. For a lot of content the picture quality is superior to that of our previous OLED. It is exceptional for viewing sports. Be aware that reflections can be an issue with dark content especially If you can’t change the angle of the screen in your room.

I love this TV. I went from an old Bravia 55" to this. Picture is outstanding. I am not good with tweaking the TV but I do see a little bit of blooming when you have just black only on the screen and then white text comes up. But nothing I would ever complain about. Love the Andriod TV all apps are quick and snappy. I have had the TV for over a month and honestly with Xfinity it actually is starting to look better and better every day. I think the upscaling works great. Also, when you really get full 4K content it looks amazing. I was on the fence, looking at the cheaper TLC and Hisense... but just couldn't pull the trigger on those.. Very happy I spent the extra money and got the Sony. You won't be disappointed

Was on the fence between this and the Samsung Q80T, went with the Sony based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews. High peak brightness and color are outstanding, and the full-array local dimming is noticeable and impressive. For those that arent one to tweak and calibrate, the color is pretty spot on straight out of the box (I had heard that to be the case with Sony and is indeed true). My living room can be well lit or dark, depending, and the 950H handles both well. Angle viewing at 45 degrees didnt seem to degrade viewing, either. Dont let folks tell you this TV suffers from side angle viewing, not the case. So far, I'm impressed. The Android user interface is snappy and intuitive. If you're able to swing the not insignificant cost, go for it. best TV I've had yet....
