Very Nice TV
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice picture . I would have been happier with this TV if I hadn’t just installed a 43” Samsung in the master bedroom. The Samsung was easier to install. I had to look up the DirecTv box maker and model # and manually input it in order to operate the full remote operation. Where as the Samsung detected it automatically. The TV is nice and a very nice picture but the Samsung smartTV has a definite higher IQ level.

Excellent purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tv. But it was not great out of the box. Too much green in the faces and colors way out of balance. Got great settings at avsforum.com that made things much better. Unfortunately not a lot of 4k programming these days (hoping for more sports) but what is available is fantastic. Picture is super sharp and fast motion sports like football, basketball and hockey are really good. Great contrast, deep blacks and realistic colors which is why we chose this over the color exaggerated Samsung Q80/90. TV is directly in front of a window about 18 feet away and it handles that reflection very well. Have not used much of the android features yet so can't speak to that. And no interest in gaming so can't speak to that either. As a 4k tv in a bright room though, it's tremendous.

Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent TV. The first one had issues in dark scenes. It was within the first two weeks so BB came out and replaced it. The sound is fine, I'm not going to comment too much on that. I didn't buy it for the sound, as mine is part of a 5.1 surround system. Picture is gorgeous with all sorts of content. DirectTV, streaming from Roku, discs, etc. I use the custom setting with minimal adjustments. The better the source the better the picture. Some 4k content looks better than others. HDR is amazing. Motion processing is great as well. We have this TV and a fairly well lit living room, and watch a fair amount of daytime TV and the picture is great with sports, movies, or whatever you are watching. 4 stars instead of 5 becuase sometime I feel like the Samsung has a bit better contrast. But maybe I haven't played with the settings enough. Anyway, awesome TV overall.

Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture of this Sony 75" 950H seems very good, bright, good color, good viewing angle. The sound with the dialog boost is great and we probably won't get a sound bar or an audio system. I like the operating systems (google) and control. We are able to watch any source of streaming content from one home page without having to switch HDMI inputs. It really simplified everything. It is also responsive. Salesman was good: Friendly, knowledgeable and patient. But we felt ghosted after the sale when trying to deal with a problem. The original 950H developed a row of dead pixels after about 8 hours of operation. Best Buy made a quick, easy exchange. However, they did not pick up their phone. We had to drive 2 hours from a small town in rural Minnesota, not knowing the outcome. Otherwise we could have paid a hefty fee for the Geek Squad to make the exchange. But for the problem, I would give this a 5 star rating.

Great TV, but the remote is disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great TV. Sony really does it best. I am, however, disappointed with the remote. The remote on this TV will not control my Bose speaker. I also feel the remote is cheap and clunky looking as compared to other manufacturers. This TV purchase was to replace a Vizio that developed a discoloration spot in the picture. I originally purchased two Samsung TV’s before this one, that both needed returned because of picture problems. I should have bought the Sony first and saved myself the headache but I was trying to save some money. In the end it is true, “ you get what you pay for”. Spend the extra cabbage and buy a Sony. They know electronics.

Switched from Samsung to Sony
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always had higher-end Samsung TV's but decided to go with a Sony 75" X950f. BB personnel told me the new 2021 x950 had not yet been released despite all other Sony 2021 models already available. Took a chance and went with the 2020 model which was on sale. I really like the PQ which is as good as my Samsung 90t I bought 8 months ago. The colors are not quite as deep but not overly saturated like the Sammy. Only things I don't care for are the legs (makes a 75" TV wobbly) and the old-style large remote. Other than that it is 5 star.

Very good, but much better than 950E?
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good TV, but initially we were unsure how much better this was than our 65" version of the 950E. We were trying to replace that with a larger TV by getting the 75" 950H. We are huge sports fans and buy TVs based off that watching first and foremost, thus the ultimate processor. Who wants to see a football or hockey puck as a blur and hard to follow. The issue was more with the size for the space vs the TV and specs themselves. It seemed sometimes depending on what was being watched that the larger size made some things not as sharp or more pixelated from where we would normally watch. I could stand off to the side and further back where our dining room is though and this would mostly go away. We have Directv (1080p) as our normal tv service, but also subscribe to numerous online streaming services that are supposed to be 4k HDR. We also have numerous 4K Ultra blu rays. the Directv was where our main issue was as far as picture with the size of the tv and how close we sit to it. 4k blu rays were awesome, Disney + also, Netflix good, but needed some adjusting for color rendition even though this TV is supposed to adjust automatically to best suite Netflix or Hulu if you use the button on the remote. Found that Netflix setting had excessive green tones and pink tones which is not natural looking by any means. I read numerous reviews by professionals on this particular model and the settings that they used for the different types of inputs, then taking their recommendations to mess with the settings to try and match our needs the best. Best Buy states that with modern TVs that no room is too small. I don't believe that this is the case. If this TV was a 70" vs 75" it would be perfect for the room we have it in. The 65" seemed at times a bit too small, the 75" seems at times a bit too big. I almost returned this TV to get the 65" 8H OLED, but the whole point of spending that much $$ getting a new TV for that space, was for it to be larger, not because we were dissatisfied with the current TV we had. Since hockey and football actually happened so far this year, I just ended up keeping it. The new remote and android/google interface is better than previous versions. We had the older 950E already setup with Sonos, Google Home, and Nest cameras to be voice controlled. The new one interacts about the same, its just faster.

75 inch Sony
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this tv for our bedroom and we are happy with it. I can tell you it is a good middle of the road tv. I own an 65 oled tv and the picture on that is much better but also is 10inch smaller and costs 1000 more. If you are looking for a big tv with good features and a good price then this tv is for you. If you are looking for the best picture quality then this might not be the tv for you. Definitely a good compromise and a lot of bang for your buck.

Great color and veery good detail
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The color is great and the picture is well lit giving great detail. My complaint is the Smart TV interface. Connecting the apps I wanted to use was a little more difficult than expected. Since this is a Google device the interface with my Amazon Echo doesn't seem to work. The salesman assured me it would not be an issue. But the biggest drawback is apps tend to freeze a lot. I can have the same app running on a fire stick on other TVs and they do not freeze.

Not every app we wanted.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were told this TV had thousands of apps and I even mentioned the ones we use and were told it had them. Once we got it home and installed we found out it doesn’t have Britbox. Very disappointed. The TV picture is great, but now we gave to watch a lot our shows o our old TV unless we want to buy another streaming service which is what we Didn’t want to do.

Great picture no web browser app
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is excellent better than my Samsung q8fn that broke. Gaming is comparable to that same samsung in game mode no issues. Lacking in a web browser. There's no preloaded app and the ones I did download in the play store dont work. The one app for sony tv loads into a black screen and the other web browser app does not work very well. I searched speed test by Ookla for internet and it would not let me click go to start the test. It is very slow and does not work. Luckily there are other apps for speed tests but pretty much is a bust for browser. Only thing you really need it for was to test internet speed on tv everything else is great. Picture is clean and contrast is great. Streaming apps and services work fast and app themselves work fast too.

Beautiful picture, eARC is still buggy.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent service from Best Buy and Geek Squad. The picture itself is stunningly beautiful. You can't go wrong if you are purchasing this TV just for the picture. I purchased a Klipsch soundbar to go along with with the TV, but eARC is a newish tech. and the soundbar and the TV have difficulty talking to each other and often need to be reset in order to work properly together. When they do, there is beautiful sound to go along with the picture. Have to reset is frustrating though. I'd suggest either avoiding eARC until there are updates to the firmware or a Sony Soundbar (although the reviews for the suggested Sony soundbars are not stellar, while the reviews of the Klipsch soundbars are). Geek Squad did warn me about the eARC handshake problems at set up.

Great picture, poor support design
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is terrific, but the position of the support legs prevents finding a suitable stand. The only solution is to cut a piece of 3/4" ply to size and paint/finish it to match. Our solution was to spend another $1000 for an OLED that fits on the bench we bought.

Worth buying
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a pretty good 75 inch tv. Compared to other brands, LG OLED line Looks a bit dark when placing under strong sunlight, Samsung color looks a bit odd (similar to iPhone v.s. Samsung screen). The Sony color looks the most natural among all. Taking 1 star off because when comparing to the 55inch x900 (2018 version), the x950 in a 75 inch size has a slightly plain-er color (maybe just due to the bigger size with same resolution when streaming).
