Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Design, Picture, PriceI love this TV. I went from an old Bravia 55" to this. Picture is outstanding. I am not good with tweaking the TV but I do see a little bit of blooming when you have just black only on the screen and then white text comes up. But nothing I would ever complain about. Love the Andriod TV all apps are quick and snappy. I have had the TV for over a month and honestly with Xfinity it actually is starting to look better and better every day. I think the upscaling works great. Also, when you really get full 4K content it looks amazing. I was on the fence, looking at the cheaper TLC and Hisense... but just couldn't pull the trigger on those.. Very happy I spent the extra money and got the Sony. You won't be disappointed

Jaw dropping picture quality
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Color, PictureWas on the fence between this and the Samsung Q80T, went with the Sony based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews. High peak brightness and color are outstanding, and the full-array local dimming is noticeable and impressive. For those that arent one to tweak and calibrate, the color is pretty spot on straight out of the box (I had heard that to be the case with Sony and is indeed true). My living room can be well lit or dark, depending, and the 950H handles both well. Angle viewing at 45 degrees didnt seem to degrade viewing, either. Dont let folks tell you this TV suffers from side angle viewing, not the case. So far, I'm impressed. The Android user interface is snappy and intuitive. If you're able to swing the not insignificant cost, go for it. best TV I've had yet....

Set up is fairly easy, but you will need two people. I mounted mine on the wall. Movies and sporting events look fantastic. I would recommend a sound bar our A/V system to get sound that matches the quality of the picture. Sony makes great TVs. This is my 5th Sony.

What I needed
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5So here is the deal, does oled have a better picture? Yes, it does. The problem for me was, I sit 14 feet away from my television. I needed a 75 inch tv. When you compare picture with price in mind, there is absolutely no reason I would need to spend double the money for a 77 inch oled. I got the 950h on sale for 2799, so oled is double the cost. I promise you the picture is not that much better. 4k HDR on this tv is phenomenal. We all know sony has best in class upscaling and motion. Sony made improvements with color on this set and also tweaked the x-wide angle technology so it doesnt hurt black levels as much as the 950g or z9f; which is why I'd recommend this tv over those models. The only other thing people are freaking out about is lack of hdmi 2.1 and I'm here to tell you that is a gimmick. If you are a console player the most you will need for years to come is 4k at 60fps which this tv does. Dont get caught up in the hype of 2.1.

Posted .Hi Tman, thank you for purchasing our Sony X950H Ultra HD Smart TV. We are happy to hear you are enjoying the picture quality of the X950H 4K HDR TV. We always strive to deliver the best picture quality with our TVs. There is much confusion about the HDMI versions and concerns about compatibility. For this reason, we do not promote the HDMI versions incorporated on many of our products. Instead, we advertise the features of a product that are associated with a particular HDMI version. For X950H, the TV will support up to 18 Gbps transfer rate to support 4K HDR and Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC).

Erin

Q: QuestionIs there any way to remove the PERMANENT ADS from the home screen from the latest update?
Asked by N7PistolPro.
- A:Answer Sony has a page on their site regarding this. They say it is not possible. Not happy. They are on the x950g too which is what I have. The ads take up almost half the screen. Sony I am about ready to buy another TV for the basement. X950h was at the top of my list but now am considering brands.

Q: QuestionMy TV stand is 58 inches long by 18 inches wide. Are the TV stand feet adjustable to a length that will fit my TV stand? Is my TV stand width OK as well?
Asked by pod84.

Q: QuestionI noticed on the rtings review of the x950h that the 55" leans slightly back a few degrees on its stock legs/feet. Does the 75" and 85" also lean back? If they they do, Is this angle adjustable to have the TV sit straight up?
Asked by ty1er.
- A:Answer I have the 75. It does lean slightly back, and it’s not adjustable. They do it because they believe most people will place the set on a low table, so it is angled up. But mine isn’t low, so I found it incredibly annoying. That said, I put two felt “furniture protectors” under each of the back two feet, and it solved the problem. I love the TV, so it’s not a deal-breaker for me.

Q: QuestionWill the 950 get an HDMI 2.1 update like the 900?

For this reason, we do not promote the HDMI versions incorporated on many of our products. Instead, we advertise the features of a product that are associated with a particular HDMI version.
