“Is there any way to remove the PERMANENT ADS from the home screen from the latest update?”

Sony has a page on their site regarding this. They say it is not possible. Not happy. They are on the x950g too which is what I have. The ads take up almost half the screen. Sony I am about ready to buy another TV for the basement. X950h was at the top of my list but now am considering brands.
