Jaw dropping picture quality
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was on the fence between this and the Samsung Q80T, went with the Sony based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews. High peak brightness and color are outstanding, and the full-array local dimming is noticeable and impressive. For those that arent one to tweak and calibrate, the color is pretty spot on straight out of the box (I had heard that to be the case with Sony and is indeed true). My living room can be well lit or dark, depending, and the 950H handles both well. Angle viewing at 45 degrees didnt seem to degrade viewing, either. Dont let folks tell you this TV suffers from side angle viewing, not the case. So far, I'm impressed. The Android user interface is snappy and intuitive. If you're able to swing the not insignificant cost, go for it. best TV I've had yet....

Between this and Samsung Q80t
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic TV! Wife is a Samsung fan and we went to the store for the q60t. Well the difference in picture quality between the q60t and q80t was too big to turn down the extra money, however, after having the store associate Wyatt show us the comparable X950h we were sold! It recently underwent a price drop ($500 cheaper than the q80t) and with much deeper blacks imo. Super happy with it! Fits perfectly in our small living room.

What I needed
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So here is the deal, does oled have a better picture? Yes, it does. The problem for me was, I sit 14 feet away from my television. I needed a 75 inch tv. When you compare picture with price in mind, there is absolutely no reason I would need to spend double the money for a 77 inch oled. I got the 950h on sale for 2799, so oled is double the cost. I promise you the picture is not that much better. 4k HDR on this tv is phenomenal. We all know sony has best in class upscaling and motion. Sony made improvements with color on this set and also tweaked the x-wide angle technology so it doesnt hurt black levels as much as the 950g or z9f; which is why I'd recommend this tv over those models. The only other thing people are freaking out about is lack of hdmi 2.1 and I'm here to tell you that is a gimmick. If you are a console player the most you will need for years to come is 4k at 60fps which this tv does. Dont get caught up in the hype of 2.1.

There is much confusion about the HDMI versions and concerns about compatibility. For this reason, we do not promote the HDMI versions incorporated on many of our products. Instead, we advertise the features of a product that are associated with a particular HDMI version. For X950H, the TV will support up to 18 Gbps transfer rate to support 4K HDR and Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC).

GREAT TV!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted an LED set with great upscaling and motion handling (to watch shows and sports on cable), great video processing for all sources, for use in a bright room, and with reliable reviews from others. After MUCH research I went with the x950H and am so glad that I did. Sony is known for their video processing (including upscaling) and color accuracy. No need to professionally calibrate this set. It looks great on Cinema setting with a few tweaks. Sports and other fast moving content look great. Streaming 4K HDR source are amazing. It was between this and the x900H but after comparing them side by side and reading about the many more issues with the x900H (banding due to lack of gradient smoothing features and motion settings reverting) I decided to go with what is most important to me, picture quality and content. The Android OS has just about every content app that is needed and the GUI is fairly snappy. I am also not using this TV for gaming so I was not concerned at all about the lack of HDMI 2.1 (the only advantage besides a lower price that the x900H has). Once in a while I lose wifi network connectivity and have to unplug or reset the TV. This has happened 2 or 3 times since owning the set. The lowest I have seen the 75" for is $2599 here at Best Buy during their 2-day sale going on during Amazon's Prime Days. I did get the delivery and set-up service from Best Buy because I had read about too many horror stories of cracked screens from deliveries that stop at the front door. Wasn't taking any chances with this purchase.

Superb quality, close to plasma and oled
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pulled the trigger on a 75" for $2399. I have a background in professional photography so I did my own calibration. The color reproduction is outstanding, including flesh tones. Compared to the Panasonic ZT60, which is the best plasma ever made, this holds its own better than I expected. Black levels are not as deep yet excellent. Whites are brighter than the plasma. No motion lag. Using an 8k high end HDMI cable that does 4k at 120Hz. If you buy a 4k cable, most of them will do 4k at 60Hz. In dark scenes, light bleed is very minimal. On bright screens there is vignetting in the corners. Screen is not glossy. It is matte. Perfect for my application as the TV is mounted on the wall in a very bright living room with tons of natural light. No worry about burn in. Can leave on news channels, sports, watch old shows in 4:3 and not care about image retention like with the plasma. The way it is calibrated it has a cinematic picture that echoes the Panasonic yet the 4k and upscaling for SD shows make the picture in some movies or shows even more enjoyable. Overall, extremely pleased with the purchase. 6 months in with daily use, zero issues. Not using any of the Google nonsense apps not the wifi. Connected to a 4k AppleTV which runs off fiber internet. It's epic. Even the install guy, who has been doing installs for 10 years, was floored with the picture quality and zero motion lag. Still bought the BB extended warranty, as things can happen. If it breaks down, they come fix it and if they cannot they haul it away and bring a new one. Well worth it. This beats the oled which I would only buy if it was for a dedicated cinema room where the lighting is not an issue. Also killer look on the wall with the Sony mount. The oled does not give the same flush look from the side because of its bulky design on the lower part.

GREAT SONY TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WOW - What a quality TV from Sony! Love the deep blacks. This was last years flagship model.... but prefer this over the 2021 model, since it has a much needed feature that the newer ones don't have....."wide-angle viewing". The viewing angles on this model SURPASS the newer model viewing angles..... very important to our family, all watching TV together in the family room. Think about that. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MODEL!!

Sony x950h great tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Sony x950h led tv replaced an old big screen box tv we had that we actually still thought had a decent picture. When we went to the store the sales rep explained all the TVs and we looked at several. He said the this tv wasn’t the latest tech but it was a great tv. It was definitely more expensive than the newer technology. Lol. But we really liked the picture. Plus I was probably looking for additional things out of the norm. I recently got optic neuritis and lost my vision in one eye. Got a small portion not all back. But I was looking for a tv that didn’t have a ton of glare/reflection if a light was on in the room. In addition I don’t see the same colors now so I wanted a tv that the colors were extra vibrant. This tv had the above and more. The salesman also said the newer technology hasn’t been perfected yet so if you watch the same things ex sports game it won’t get burned into the screen on this tv like the newer ones. It’s very easy to use, has a beautiful picture and we love it. I’m sure if you choose this tv you will love it as much as we do. It’s great.

180 view angle confirmed
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As the ads say, the Sony 75" X950H looks great from any angle. The colors and brightness look equally fantastic whether viewed straight on from our living room sofa or from a fairly sharp side angle in our kitchen. The full array LEDs/local dimming work as advertised and achieve contrast accuracy that is worth every extra penny. Although we will be getting a sound bar, which currently is on backorder, the built in sound system with Dolby Atmos is impressive on its own and would be more than acceptable when a full surround setup is not feasible. Highly recommended.

X850H is a great alternative to OLED for now.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The X850H has exceeded my expectations in almost every way. I was on the fence between a much more expensive OLED model vs. the X850H VA panel, and am satisfied with my final choice. The blacks are black, the colors are vibrant, and the glare reduction of the X850 vs. X800 is noticeable. The only downside that I can see to this TV is lack of HDMI 2.1, and a very slightly decrease in brightness at the extreme corners of the panel. The HDMI 2.1 issue isn't a big deal as long as you are not doing 4K 120 Hz gaming. The brightness drop-off at the corners is only slightly annoying in high-brightness scenes like Youtube videos and still images. The Android/Google TV user interface is extremely snappy, with much quicker response than the older X800E 65" we have in another room.

Excellent purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tv. But it was not great out of the box. Too much green in the faces and colors way out of balance. Got great settings at avsforum.com that made things much better. Unfortunately not a lot of 4k programming these days (hoping for more sports) but what is available is fantastic. Picture is super sharp and fast motion sports like football, basketball and hockey are really good. Great contrast, deep blacks and realistic colors which is why we chose this over the color exaggerated Samsung Q80/90. TV is directly in front of a window about 18 feet away and it handles that reflection very well. Have not used much of the android features yet so can't speak to that. And no interest in gaming so can't speak to that either. As a 4k tv in a bright room though, it's tremendous.

Awesome TV! Great size, great picture!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband wanted this tv because he has a hard time seeing. Well he loves it! I do too! The size is not that big really. He said he should’ve gone with the 85. The picture is beautiful!! You’re right there in the scene practically. The color is great out of the box! No need to adjust it. It’s a smart TV, so it listens to voice commands. I love that it can play a movie on Netflix with a command. Since it works with Hey google it also turns on and off from our google speakers or the tv itself. It pauses and plays with a voice command too. The feet were a little tricky to place. We had to see a video but we were able to do it afterwards. Overall, we love our new TV!!!

This Is The TV You Need To Go With
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had several large screen Sony TV's over the past 15 years. All of them with great picture quality, color, and dependable. However this one tops them all. The picture quality is crisp and clear weather it be live TV, streaming, or watching a Blu Ray / DVD. Colors literally burst before your eyes. The Geek Squad members who installed it said it was the best TV they had ever seen - and they see a high number in their job. The DirecTV installer said it was the same. I'm thankful that the Best Buy team member in the store said "this is the TV you need to go with".

Great color, motion, contrast blacks and bright ar
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous tv was a top model Panasonic plasma and was very happy with it and was hating the day I would have to go to an led tv but I was really surprised and happy with its picture quality. Human facial tones look real and the black level is also good color is great and motion is also greZy. I went with this tv because of the size and my bright room. Side angle is ire and Claire resistant is pretty decent concidering I have a 16 foot sliding door to the right of the tv and it does very well considering. Movies look amazing and natural can’t wait to have it calibrated.

Sony 950H is Simply a Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an owner of the 2017 Sony flagship 75x940e, I am very impressed with the outstanding clarity, brightness, and wide angle viewing the 75x950H provides. If you appreciate the classic cinematic presentation a Sony produces, the 950H should be on your short list. The HDR performance is impressive, with deep blacks along side bright specular highlights with little blooming. The average 1000 nits and much appreciated low-reflection is amply bright for our family room with many windows. I just love this TV.

Love the Smart TV. We use YouTube TV and love it. We had the Geek Squad install and it was worth it. Would highly recommend paying for the quality of a Sony. Also glad went with the 75 instead of the 65. It costs more but I made the right decision.

Bright and popping color
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is as close to Oled as you can get in picture but absolutely beats Oled in brightness. I have two Samsung tv’s but Sony just surpasses in detailed realistic picture quality.

One of the Best LED's on the market.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a beautiful set. If you are shy of the prices of OLED's at this size (75"), this Sony set is one of the best LED's on the market. Android OS is good, typical Google Overthinking and complication in the menus' though. Much prefer the lack of menu and home screen labyrinth games of the other TV OS's. Bright Set and handles Reflections ok in a well lit room.

Sony X950H 75"
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Sony 75" X950H replaced a 10 year old 65" Panasonic plasma TV.
