Helpful Info if you are considering this phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this system, but it wasn't working with my cell phones, so I was due an upgrade on my cell phone, so I did some research to figure out which phone to get, so it would work with my cell phones. It is so worth it because we love: answering either cell phone or landline from 1 of 5 phones program each phone for a different ring so we know right off whose cell phone or landline is calling dowload the cell phone number books, and program landline phone numbers into only 1 phone, and all extensions get it automatically it automatically connects to my cell phone when I pull into the garage, and it automatically disconnects as I leave. No more having to carry my cell phone with me. clear sound intercom and speaker We love ours so much we got one for one of our daughters and her husband-they have no landline, but they both have IPhones, and it works great for them. No more running through the house to answer a cell phone, or missing calls because they didn't hear it. Not to mention the safety issue- they now have easier phone access in case of an emergency. So hear is how I researched it. My phone Nokia Mural works perfect with it, my husbands Samsung works good except it won't download his phone book. First, go to vtech.com website, find this system, go to it, and go to the bluetooth tab. It lists all the cell phones they have tested that work good with this, however, there are lots of other phones that work with it, but they just haven't tested them all. If your phone isn't listed, go to phonescoop.com, find your phone, and look at the bluetooth connectivity specs. I knew the IPhones worked with it, so I compared phones known to work, with the phones I was considering upgrading to. I figured that it is most important to have the bluetooth version 2.0 or better. It has to have HFP and HSP. My husbands Samsung C417 works with it, but it won't download the phone book, so PBA is important to have, if you want to download the phone book. A2DP seems to be important to have too. I had read somewhere that the main base for the phone won't work right if it is near a computer, and that is very true. Ours was working fine the most of the time, but I was realizing that if I was on my labtop when I answered the phone, it messed up bad. Then I moved the main base to a different location, away from where my laptop is, and it works great. Also you will find that your cell phone will need charging more often, so we just automatically place our cell phones on the chargers every other night, and that seems to work good. It is important to have your cell phone within 30 feet of the base, so no more walking around with your cell phone in your pocket. Just remember, the bluetooth of the Vtech is in the main base, so your cell phone needs to be within 30 feet of it for it to work. I hope this info is helpful. This is a great system, and I think everyone that has a cell phone they use alot, or if you don't have a landline, this is almost a necessity!! Not only for the convenience, but for safety.

Great phones for a big house
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are great phones. The Bluetooth is a great convenience especially using the address book off the mobile. Great range and the speaker phone works well. The intercom is fantastic. You can forward calls to different handsets or just call them. We've tried several brands over the years, these are by far the best for range and clarity we've owned. The menus are simple to follow so even my wife likes it. The only bad thing is the wall mount is ugly. I made a little shelf to hide it.

So far I'm very happy with it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this phone to replace a 7 year old Uniden which was a nice phone in it's day, but was suffering recently from static and low battery life even after replacing them yearly for the past two years. I work from home 2-3 days a week so this phone is used both for personal and professional use. I own a 8310 blackberry curve and connecting this device and also a bluetooth motorola ear piece was extremely easy. The cell phone connection has disconnected from the blue tooth once and I'm not sure why, it's remained connected and connects as soon as I walk into the house without issue otherwise. Sound is super clear. Setup is extremely easy. Cons, no belt clip for phone and would be nice to have a 1 click directory access (takes about 3 clicks and some scrolling to get into the directory), also allows only two active bluetooth devices at a time but allows you to store 4. Would be nice to have two cell phones and a headset active (3 devices). These are minor nuiances. Has Intercom which works great. Also allows multiple handsets to participate in a call. Being able to have three people talking each on a different handheld for a phone call is great, something all my original phones had and my past Uniden did not allow. Also has speaker phone. Has hold button, mute button. Buttons light up when pressed. This is a very good buy in my opinion. Does everything I need .

Very Nice Phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In all this is a very good phone set. Sound quality is good and range hasn't been a problem at all in my 2 story 2K square foot home. I can go anywhere in the house with the base station in an upstairs bedroom and talk with no interference and clear sound. The bluetooth feature is quite nice. I have an older HTC windows mobile phone through sprint and this phone system paired with it no problem and works beautifully. I can place and recieve calls no problem at all. It paired with the ` 3 year old Windows Mobile HTC as a hands free set and works like a charm. I wish the base station had a key pad and speaker phone for placing and recieving calls but the hand sets are sufficiently loud and pick up well enough in speaker phone mode. Also, the handsets could use a belt clip to make it easy to cary around with you but that's a small thinng as well. Overall I'm quite pleased with the phone.

Wish there was better technology.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wish there are more products to choose from otherwise this would not have been my first choice. Good points: We live in a long ranch and it can still pick up. As soon as I pull into the garage, the Blue tooth picks up. My husbands phone which is a little older sometimes needs to be paired. Best to set your cell phone down somewhere close to the base unit. Problems: Slight 1/2 second after you press a button before phone reacts. Buttons don't feel good and springy but rather like a child's toy. I make a lot of dials so the way the buttons feel in my hand means a lot to me - can't dial fast with this phone. The phone book (after download from cell is a little funky and hard to look up because the buttons react slowly. Takes forever to page down to the one you want or to lookup). Biggest dissppoinment: Ocassionally, when a cell call comes in, and I hit the answer button, it does not connect but continues to ring. At this point, you are out of luck and can only answer the call on your cell. System freezes and has to be reset by unplugging the battery of the power source from the base. Read the instructions (no mention of this problem) and it actually says something like this.... When all else fails, use the old reliable method of disconnecting the power source. Basically... REBOOT ! Don't worry, you don't lose your address book or paired devices. It's not the best product and I am surprised that there aren't other more competitive products out there... because if there were, I would probably ditch this one and get something else.

Nice phone, but missing some basic features.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this set to replace on older Uniden set of phones that have outlived their life. I was drawn in by the Blue Tooth Feature and it does work nicely. I have a two story home and the range max is 30 ft, I get to the ends of the house it does drop the Blue Tooth connection. I like others think a belt clip would be nice, but it is lacking. I have had problems getting my cell phone directory to sync with the phones and it has been sporadic to get the directory downloaded. The other missing feature that my previous Uniden phones had was the one touch speed dial, this set doesn't have that feature, it requires fumbling through at least two menu's which is cumbersome. Clarity and voice are great. No interference and battery life is good and a nice base unit as well.

Clear and loud reception, good bluetooth reception
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been looking for a bluetooth cordless phone for a while. The reason that has been holding me back is the expansion cost and the technology. The cost component has come down dramatically on this phone. 3 handset unit is below $100, and additional headset is only $20-30. I have read about nightmares for the earlier bluetooth cordless phone. Because of the flexible return policy at Best Buy, I can always return it if the technology does not work. First, the DECT 6.0 works very well. I stream video thru slingbox wireless at home. The DECT 6.0 does not interfere with the typical wireless signal. The basic phone function is excellent. Voice quality, loudness are excellent. Product exterior design is clean, and the headset is comfortable to hold. Speakerphone is very loud. (This phone is easier to hold and operate than the other vTech LS6245 which is good to look at and hard to hold or dial the numbers). Talk time is extremely long (initial charge time is long as well - 16 hrs). It has a number of ringtones to distinguish whether the call is from the landline or the cell phone. Bluetooth setup is a breeze. You can hook up 2 cell phones to the unit. You can even upload the phone book up to the phone unit. If you place your cell phone too far away from the base unit (like over 16 ft), I can sense some reception issue. But if they are within 10 ft apart, the reception is very loud and clear. In a way, you cannot even tell the difference. Reconnecting the cell phone after you are back from work may not always work. Sometimes, it just automatically re-connect the cell phone. But there are times that it doesn't, you can hit a few buttons on your cell phone to reconnect it. There are a lot of gadgets on the phone. You can even hook up a bluetooth headset (those that you connect with your cell phone) to this phone so that you can roam around your house while you are talking (but this will utilize one of he 2 cell phone ports). There is conference call feature between the cell phone and the landline as well. I think that the bluetooth cordless phone tech is quite stable now. If you want to have more than 3 headsets, this system offers an attractive platform for you to outfit your entire house at reasonable costs.

I LOVE THIS PHONE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's SO neat cause it pairs via bluetooth to my cell phone and even sees my directory of numbers. You can use these phones to make a call from your cell without even using your cell phone. I never have good reception in my house so I found one spot in my kitchen cabinet that actually gets a couple of bars, I put it there after it's paired up and now if somebody calls me on my cell it rings on these handsets and I can take the call without worrying where I'm at in the house. You can even download your cell's directory right into these phones. In fact, a lot of people are using these types of phones paired with thier cells and getting rid of thier land line altogether.. which saves money. It pairs to the cell with no problem..just give it a few minutes and have the cell laid right next to the base phone when you do it. The instruction book is very easy to follow on how to use all the features. And there's tons of features. I love the memo feature because I can leave myself a memo and it flashes on the base phone and all handsets reminding me there is a memo of something I need to remember to do. Oh, and you can listen to messages left from others on the answering machine from any handset. The speakerphone is crystal clear on both ends. Sound quality is excellent on all handsets. You'll love this phone! So get it! I found a 10% off coupon which was great too.
