Synopsis

Synopsis
The suit, the barcode tattoo and the iconic shaved head. No one means business like Agent 47. When the cold-blooded assassin has been contracted, you know the job will be carried out effectively, efficiently and secretly. Hitman: Absolution has you slip on the black gloves of the hired gun on his most dangerous job yet. Hunted by the police, he finds himself at the center of a dark conspiracy after being betrayed by those he once trusted. Now he must set out through a corrupt and twisted world in search for answers.

Put on the suit of the legendary assassin, Agent 47, in Hitman: Absolution. Embark on a journey through a corrupt and twisted world in search of answers behind a dark conspiracy of which you find yourself at the center. Powered by new proprietary Glacier 2 technology, the game has been constructed from the ground up, and allows you to experience the brutal, raw and intense adventure with a cinematic story, distinctive art direction and cutting-edge game and sound design. Enjoy the freedom to eliminate your targets as you see fit, whether you prefer to stalk from the shadows or burst in guns blazing. But beware — the world around you realistically responds to your every tactic thanks to the fully evolved game mechanics and a highly developed AI system. Jump into the iconic suit like never before with the Instinct mode, which allows you to see the world through the eyes of a deadly assassin. Identify weapons and escape routes, predict enemy patrols and engage in Point-Shooting to eliminate entire rooms efficiently with your expert marksmanship. Blend into your environments and pose as your victims with a variety of disguises, and take advantage of the new actions, options and, of course, the element of surprise. Hitman: Absolution - PlayStation 3 (9 out of 9)
Stealth Game at its Best

Posted by: from Issaquah, WA on 05/18/2013This is my first Hitman game and I absolutely enjoyed it. I love the fact that the game doesn't hold your hand at all. Your imagination is your ally when it comes to taking down foes. Feel free to assassinate as you please. My only wish was that they worked on the story a bit more to make it a AAA game. Also, I don't know why some games are so hesitant to modernize their control scheme. This game still felt like a PS2 with its controls. Don't get me wrong, it's still a fun game. I just wish that they made it more accessible by copying the CoDs, Gears, Uncharteds of this gen.

Your The Best Cleaner in the Business.

Posted by: from Chicago, IL on 05/11/2013A linear and dark path but a familiar one for Hitman veterans. Not as open as previous Hitman games, it still is good in it's own way. The graphics and sounds are fantastic. The character models and animations are realistic. Watch as your targets struggle while your killing them. Disguise yourself in order to infiltrate hard to reach targets but be weary. Wander too close and you'll be spotted and executed. Getting spotted or opting for the shootout will overwhelm the player with waves of enemies. Stealth is seemingly the only way to complete missions. So if you like sneaking around, pick this one up.

Posted by: from New York, NY on 05/02/2013Let me start off by saying that I'm not a die hard hitman fan , this is the first hitman Ive played. So now to the review ill make it short and sweet. This game is amazing and i recommend it highly to anyone who can wait 5+ minutes to get a perfect silent kill. I have played all hitmans competitors such as assassins creed and splinter cell but hitman takes the cake because it rewards you for patience and gives you tons of ways to pull off the kill of you dreams. So far the only thing i dislike is that the checkpoint system is kinda annoying due to lack of checkpoints. The graphics are the best of the 30+ games Ive played in 2012 and the game play is unconscionably fun. A few words of warning though if your looking for a 3rd person shooter than this isn't your game this is a stealth action game, im not saying don't buy it but DONT expect to go out guns blazing cause you'll get smoked.

A Worthy Sequel

Posted by: from on 02/25/2013I give team Eidos credit, their Hitman series always manages to produce a top notch game engine into their series. All the graphical bells and whistles are here: dynamic shadows and lighting, high resolution textures, the ability to densely pack together hundreds of NPC's into a single level, ragdoll physics, and amazing cloth animation are all present and run like a well oiled machine on the PS3. The campaign is also fairly long (20 missions) and takes you across a large range of different settings, some of my favorite levels being the ones where it is jam packed with people in them (Chinatown, Subway Station, and a Strip Club). That being said, I was a little disappointed that most of my favorite levels in this game were in the beginning and middle portion of the game, whereas the last half really bogged down into levels that contained fewer NPC's (who were just more heavily armed) in each map. This game also seems to run a lot of event driven sequences, an example being that enemy's will only begin speaking and then walking their pre-determined route once you come within range of them. This leads to playing the game a lot like you would be playing out a movie script, and also makes the game feel a little simplistic in nature. I think the previous games played out like this, but the most fun I've experienced while playing this game was when I had no idea what the heck was going on. This one's still definitely worth a play through, 4/5

Very satisfied

Posted by: from Amerika on 11/26/2012This was my first hitman game and me being a MGS fan this was a very nice transition. This game requires planning when assigned a hit, very real situations they like to throw at you, the story is good and the language is hilarious some scenes were muted for me but they'll patch that up. Over all this is a game you beat then try to beat the way you played it and try to be a better assasin and get those extra signature kills! sniping is fun and the hitman "deadeye" is very useful for those knee deep situations. This game really should not be played infront of any kids under 13 since there is alot of suggestive themes ;)
