Numark - Audio Mixer - Black

Easy to set up, price point was great, software makes this controller fun to play with whether beginner, mobile DJ like me or Club DJ... compared to my other Numark controller (NSFX7) this one feels like a toy and it would not accept my iPad 5 because of the connector. The iDJPro uses the 30 pin connector and not the lightning connector. I had to buy an adapter. Only the Apple adapter works on that too, found that out the hard way. Beware of cheap ebay knockoffs, they don't support audio. Overall this is a great controller and I would highly recommend this item.

While Numark has always created more than sufficient DJ equipment, this digital controller is only a step from being just a toy for a professional Dj. But let me clarify. By professional I mean beat matching, scratching, mixer terrorizing mixologist. While any "professional wedding Dj" will have no problem running the show with this unit alone, a true professional will find many flaws right away during use. My biggest complaint, although something many other may not be bothered by, is that fact that the audio quality out of the headphone jack is garbage. It gets better if you crank up the headphone volume but I already beat my ears up enough in the industry and would like to use it at low levels at times during practice. And while you do have the ability to adjust the three band equalizer to better the sound, the knobs are not smooth so it is nearly impossible to get exactly the sound you want. There is a notch in the mid point of every eq level knob which eliminates smooth usage (ie: the dreaded pitch notch in Technics original 1200). While many other features are great conveniences there tends to be a delay in many of their actions such as the effects and sampling buttons which, if left untouched for more than a few seconds, will get a "pop" start effect in the audio. Since this system is fused with the algoriddim Dj software only, it may be a software flaw creating the delay issues but we will never. Overall I will say that is a great beginner tool for the entry level Dj looking to have a bunch of effects but without concern for professional audio quality. As for price... I bought it the moment it came out with high hopes but could definitely see it coming down to around a $300 price point and would be a much greater value then. I would recommend to a friend starting to Dj but not a pro.

This device is great for getting into Djing. Easy to setup and use. Sturdy feel. The effects are good and the buttons on the actual unit make using everything very easy. It's a perfect fit for the iPad 3 and older. The new iPad will require an adapter and the door for the iPad to remain open. Unlike some other products the iPad is charged while in the unit so running out of battery is never an issue. It's easy to record your mixes with the press of a button on the unit or iPad itself. For the money this product is great I have looked at various products and not having a reliable computer decided for now an iPad controller would be best. I would highly recommend this to anyone considering Djing with an iPad.

Very fun product to use, the only issue is the cross fade sometimes it does not work correctly and leaves blank sound to be heard I believe it is an issue in the program Djay but it possibly could be just an issue with the IDJ Pro, the other thing is definitely involving the program only the quick loops when you hit them and release ,the song jumps forward not taking you back to where you left off in the song when you first hit the quick loop

I always bring my iPad with me to play music at parties. This is a great purchase to add more pizazz to it. It's built beautifully and has a lot of functions.

Picked this up for an excellent price not to mention the Numark mail in rebate at the time. Love the idea of using either the controller or the touch screen on the ipad to mix. Easy to learn and a great beginner tool for entry level DJ. Having the ability to automix using airplay w/o having to connect any cables to my home receiver is a big bonus. You can't really mix due to the delay (airplay) but a great feature for parties.
