Really innovative

Personally, I haven't really used my guitar for a while, so I can use this as an excuse to start guitar playing again. The game is designed to encourage players to keep building their skills and even has fun guitarcade games. The main problem with this game is that the game has no way to give you the full guitar arrangement of a song for experienced guitar players. Everyone starts out playing only a few notes of a riff and it takes a while to add more notes to the full part.

Nice for what it is.

This game will not take you to levels that a hands on instructor could, of course. But it's a great tool to use to introduce one to the guitar and to determine if guitar is something interesting enough to actually spend time and money on lessons fore.

Great fun, if you want to play guitar

You play along with songs and use a real guitar, unlike Rockband and Guitar Hero. The soundtrack of the game itself wasn't my cup of tea, but there are lots of great DLC tracks. The biggest draw back is the long load times every time anything needs to change.
