Great basic phone for a great price4

If you are looking to get a basic phone used for calling and texting, this phone is great! The slide out QWERTY keyboard makes texting a snap. Social networking (facebook, twitter etc) is easily accessible. Battery life is good. The only complaint I have is that this phone often unlocks itself and sometimes will pocket dial. Cruddy phone1

Stupid phone only lasted one year then it quit. The phone was only used less than six months during that time. Bought a pre-paid card and two days later it quit working. Virgin Mobile said they cannot do anything about it and I have to buy a new phone. So, I'm not only out a phone, but the $35 pre-paid card. Virgin Mobile is worthless.- Age : 18-24

This phone is a good fairly basic phone. It does have a keyboard but did not come with a manuel. It is rather inconvient to go to the internet for answers to questions. Overall, a good value.- Age : 55-64

Good basic phone, extra features don't work2

As a basic phone, and to check text emails from a few select email services, it works great.
The camera takes surprisingly good pictures in sunlit scenes.
The web browser is basically useless, not surprising given the small screen.
The GPS navigation has never worked at all, in any location.
The phone occasionally locks up, requiring the back cover to be removed and the battery to be taken out and then replaced.
If you can get this cheap to use as a basic phone, then I would recommend it, though there are smaller phones that will work.
If you are interested in the advanced features like browser or GPS, stay away from this phone.- Age : 45-54

Had to return to store. Web listing did not specify that this version of Samsung M575 can only be used w/ BeyondTalk, NOT PayLo Plans. Spotted this qualification (hidden?) on back of pkg. just before opening, luckily.....- Age : 55-64
