Q: How many adapters does this come with?

A: 2 came with mine. Both the same.

Q: Does this connect wirelessly to the router and can it work on a pc

A: No, this does not connect wirelessly to the router. Yes, it can work on a PC.

Q: Will the actiontec 500 work with my smart phone

A: No, this will not work with your smart phone.

Q: WillWill the Actiontec - 500 Mbps Powerline Home Theater Network Adapter Kit work & provide internet service from my wireless internet modum to my pc?

A: It really depends on the wiring in your home and the distance between the sending and receiving unit. You won't know for sure until you plug them in and try. DO NOT expect anything close to the rated speed even under the best circumstances. That is fiction. Less than 100MBS is typical and it maybe a good deal less. That being said, it is likely to be faster, more reliable and less prone to dropouts than wifi. When they work, they work well. My only caveat is this company has some quality control issues. There have been reports of these things dying within a few weeks or months for no apparent reason. I had one set that were rock solid for years. When one died, I bought replacements that died within a few weeks.

Q: Why is it sometimes flashing red light instead of green?

A: The color tells you the connection speed. Less than 100MBS is red I think. (it might be 50) Green is more than 100MBS. But that depends on the model you have. Some are rated at 500MBS, some at 200MBS
