Q: will these speakers fit in the rear of my 1998 jeep cherokee?
A: I installed these on my 2016 F150 rear doors. I am not an audiophile guy, just wanted to upgrade my sound and these do the job. Sound great with amp.
A: Not required, but it wouldn't hurt them either. Coax speakers never need anything more than the head unit to power them. Of course, anything sounds better when you pump more juice to them via amp.

A: tooooo much, do it yourself and save some dough. It is easy. Hardest part is taking the doors off, which is usually only a couple of bolts and some clips. Youtube it.
