  • Key Specs
    • Wireless Standard: AC, N (The wireless networking protocol used by the device. Each iteration of the protocol is based on the 802.11 standard developed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Standards Association. Denoted by letters following 802.11 (802.11a, 802.11ac, etc.), each version, published in alphabetical order, encompasses all previous versions.)
    • Frequency Band: 2.4 GHz, 5.0 GHz (Bands may be grouped into categories such as low- and high-band VHF (Very High Frequency), low- and high-band UHF (Ultra High Frequency), or certain frequency channels (measured in MHz or GHz). Generally, higher frequencies transmit information faster but have shorter range than lower frequencies.)
    • Number of Antennas: 3
    • Number of LAN Ports: 1 (Number of devices able to be connected to the Local Area Network (LAN). LAN ports allow wired connections to other networking devices (wireless access points, range extenders, etc.) in order to share the internet connection received through a WAN port.)
    • Wireless Networking Standard: Wi-Fi 5 (The wireless networking standard used by the device. Each iteration of the standard developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance corresponds to an existing IEEE 802.11 protocol; for example, standard 802.11ac (or AC) is termed Wi-Fi 5. Refers specifically to the standard the device is designed to use, but ultimately determines product interoperability and backward compatibility including previous versions.)

Q: I live in RV park wifi is Hughs Net the satalite and router is about 100 Yards away get a signal but only about 2 bars will this increase bars

A: An extender needs to be placed in a location/position that has a solid signal from the source... it then repeats the signal further along. If it grabs a weak signal, it will repeat a weak signal. If you cannot place the extender in such a location, it is not an ideal solution. I would look for a higher powered wireless adapter with an external antenna that you can position high up on a shelf, and maintain a good Lin Of Sight to the source signal. Position is everything, you may do well just experimenting with the placement of your existing antenna/adapter.

Q: Hi. Ilive abroad. Does anybody knows if its AC110-240V compatible?

A: Got the manufacture and look it up on their website using model no.#

Q: Does this device create a new wifi network or simply extend the existing? In other words, will I have to log-in to a new wireless network to take advantage of the boosted signal?

A: It does create a "new" network by receiving the primary signal from your router. When you look at available networks, you'll see it listed as an extension of your primary. During setup, you'll enter the password that you use to access your primary router. You'll then choose which one to connect to. Very easy.

Q: I have a US cellular as my phone carrier. The phone keeps dropping calls due to weak signal. Will this device increase my signal strength and can I move it from home to car?

A: No, this is only for a Home WiFI network. Your cellular carrier is on a different type of Cellular Radio network. I would recommend that if you have a carrier with low or no signal. Get a different carrier.

Q: I have Century Link and my strength is only at 7 mpg that is not enough for all our devices.

A: No not at all get a ac1200 or 1750 AC best buy have sales on them I bought my extender 150 original 119.00 got it for 69.99 two days before that it was 79.99 when I first bought it then I look at best buy website it went to 69.99 so I got reimburse price difference.
