A bit pricey but good UPS Posted by: from: Tampa, FL on I bought this UPS to protect my home PC and server as well as some home networking equipment. The unit itself is nice looking and doesn't take up much space. The display on the front is useful and with the equipment plugged in, the load is less than 40%. The only downside is the Windows software is terrible and doesn't seem to install properly on my Windows 7 Ultimate PC. I don't think it's a big deal to not use the software so not a big deal. The other downside is the cost. I know this isn't a Best Buy issue but it's a tough pill to swallow none the less.

Excellent UPS unit Posted by: from: on I purchased this unit to replace another brand that died. I did comparisons among several manufacturers. The APC units far outshine the others. One feature that is really unique is the fact that you do not have to open the unit up to connect or replace the batteries. The readout panel provides all the information a person could want. The "switched" outlets can be configured in software to set the threshold power draw (in watts) where the outlets activate and deactivate.

Great product Posted by: from: on On these hot summer days when power can suddenly disappear in a flash, having this very reliable UPS protect my computer from a power surge is comforting. Sleek design and works like a dream.

Great for my Mac Pro & Network Devices Posted by: from: Wichita, KS on I have a older Mac Pro, 24" LCD, cable modem & wireless all on the backup. I have my speakers & printer on the surge. I love that when the Mac Pro turns off - so do all the other devices. Saves $$$ When the power went out last week, the runtime for the entire system was 27 minutes. We turned off the PC & LCD and we had the modem & wireless powered by battery with 250 minutes of runtime!

Nice UPS for price Posted by: from: Chicago, IL on I have had a lot of family members who use UPSs from APC and have had good customer support when needed. APC makes a very good product and it is very easy to setup. The only down fall to it, is that I have two computers powered off of it and only one can be shut down if the power goes out. It would be nice if they shipped it with a small onboard webserver like printers do and allow you to have a piece of software that monitors it. Otherwise it is a great product.

Good product, great price, easy to sey up Posted by: from: on Product acts as a backup for my NVR, Router, and Smart Things monitoring systems. The product is a little heavier than one would expect, but the overall quality seems to be good. Software disc for external monitoring is basically useless...
