Best Buy Customer Reviews

this changes things Posted by: from: on writing this review after having this device for a month. Upon purchasing the 12.9 pro, I researched for over a month and I originally purchased the 9.7 pro when it launched. Ended up returning the 9.7 to get the 12.9 pro. Initially, my biggest hesitation about purchasing the 12.9 was it's size. It's new, unfamiliar and makes it awkward when you're looking at it in the store. However, after taking it home and using it, you easily become adjusted. After 1 day of use, the 9.7 form factor seemed...small. In terms of "who is this for?", anyone who loves using an ipad. Adding a pencil and keyboard allows it be catered for other needs. As a consumption device, this is amazing. As a productivity device, it can get the job done with simple tasks like email, and drafting up documents. In my opinion, if both the 9.7 pro and 12.9 pro are the same price (you can find it on sale and Best Buy is awesome with price matching), 12.9 is a clear winner. I use mine along side my 6s Plus.

iPad Pro is an excellent tablet Posted by: from: Rialto, ca on I have owned a few Apple iPads. I have loved them all, and, the size of this, for someone like me, is great. I do email, watch videos, surf the net, ands use iMessage and FaceTime, a lot. I am getting older and bigger is better on the eyes. I own a Surface 3, as well. They are both fantastic, and the Surface 3 works great, but, no matter what, I need an iPad to be able to keep in contact with most of my family. I do not have or need a cell phone, and, I haven't found away to keep up with my family without the iPad. They do not use Skype. I don't think they are the same to even be compared. They do different things and they both do them great. I do, however, enjoy the speed and reliability the iPad gives me. I'm not to tech savy, and I do like things to "just work". But, at times I need a PC, so I have been lucky enough, thanks to my husband, to get the best of both worlds for myself. I see no reason for so much animosity against Apple, if a person does not like there products why even look at them. If you are going to be reviewing them to decide which is best, then do that. No reason to be so mean about other peoples preferences. They are both good. I do happen to have both the Apple Pencil and the Surface Stylus, and I do believe the Pencil is better. Even my kid, who hates using the Surface and stylus, agrees, the Pencil is smooth. But, I do use them both. Apple is very expensive, but, so is each Surface. If you are able to, either one is worth the price.

Amazing Posted by: from: FL on This thing is amazing. The weight is acceptable, the screen is gorgeous and huge, the processor and memory are fast. I am a full-time student and got this primarily to read textbooks and take notes in class on. I have been doing both with the iPad Air 2, but this will take it to a whole new level. The sound is much better than the iPad air 2, due to the larger and greater numbers of speakers. I think you have to go for the 128 instead of 32, which is kind of annoying since there is a significant price difference. I have found it is easy to blow past 32 very quickly. I can't say enough good things about this. some of the apps are optimized and some are not, but I have not encountered any major problems in switching over from the iPad Air 2.

Amazing Tablet Posted by: from: on The iPad Pro is best described in one word, BIG. That is the first thing people say, and what I said when I took it out of the box. But while big, it is no heavy and the screen image is amazing. Regardless of whether you are doing word processing (yes its big enough to do actual word processing and other business functions easily) or watching a video, the images are sharp and clear. But what amazed me even more was the book and magazine reading experience, the size made reading these materials easy. The screen is about the same size as my 15 in MacBook Pro, but a lot sharper. I know that Apple says this is not a lap top replacement, but honestly I think it will work just fine for 90% of my needs. Really happy with it, and the extremely long life of the batter, at least 10 hours.

Game changer. By far the king of the tablet world Posted by: from: Central Pa. on own a lot of tablets from iPad, Lenovo, Samsung, etc.... For the most part, the Air 2 is the king of the tablet world until now. The iPad Pro is by far the ultimate tablet in every way. It's sooo far above everything else that it truly is a game changer. The speakers have low end and the spatial separation is so good between all 4 speakers that the media experience is totally immersive and surround sound like. The battery life is also outstanding with 12 hours of strait Netfix play at 50% volume and screen brightness from my initial testing. Then there is the speed. It is blistering fast. So fast that it makes the Air 2 seem slow and the Air 2 was significantly smoother and faster than anything from Samsung. The Pro CAN be a laptop replacement depending on how you use your laptop. The speakers on the Pro are certainly better than any laptop in clarity and fullness. Split screen apps look like two separate iPad Air 2 running side by side. Pip looks like a Mini 4 playing a movie floating independently on the Pros screen while you do other work. I can certainly run most of my business with the iPad Pro. Factor in the ipencil and Pro keeps establishing a new element to a Pro tablet. I am hyper critical with my tech tools and I can find no fault with the Pro. The more I use it the more it is impressive. Its certainly worth the price of admission. FYI..I own a Pro Gold 128gb.

Big Screen makes a Big difference Posted by: from: on Our household has owned Apple tablets since the first generation. The largest screen that the Pro provides has been a gamechanger. I'm currently using this no different that other tablets - however the potential with the Smart Keyboard and Pencil can makes this an easy laptop replacement. I'm not buying those pricey accessories yet as I determine if less-expensive accessories such as a simple stylus and BT keyboard will suffice. The screen and additional speakers are a massive improvement over the iPad air. I also expect that iOS improvements starting with v9.3 and beyond will make the investment in the Pro justified.

Too Big Posted by: from: on The iPad pro is absolutely too big. I had hoped to use it for work, art, and the typical surfing, but it's simply too big to be used in a conventional tablet manner in my opinion. Ios is also a bit ridiculous to use on such a huge screen. Case in point instagram or facebook. Even with optimized apps and scaling they look ridiculous. For the price and size i believe a laptop is much more what I'm looking for.

Perfect for Me Posted by: from: on I love my IPad Pro. The extra screen space is great for movies, magazines, books, comics and general browsing. I liked my IPad Air, but my eyesight has been getting worse. The bigger screen makes a difference for me.

Awesome iPad for anyone wanting to create artwork Posted by: from: on The iPad Pro 12.9 is a wonderful piece of technology for creating my digital artwork and being able to have a large screen and in addition the Apple Pen makes it complete. The pen is easily reactive to all of the levels of pressure. I can easily import my photos and draw over them or totally create an original drawing, painting, college, etc. I have hardly put it down since I purchased it. I totally love it!
