Hard to Re-Load Playlist Posted by: from: on My husband accidentally ran over his tiny IPod and went to Best Buy to get another one. He decided to get the next larger size and thus bought the Nano. However, it has been a nightmare to re-load the playlists. We have spent hundreds of dollars on these songs and did not realize how hard they are to re-load to a new device. You are apparently given the ability to load them to 5 devices, and we had only loaded them to one. Silly us, we do not own any IPod smartphones and do not know how to SYNC these to the new device. We have called Apple several times, spending hours on the phone and at the computer trying to authorize them to load onto the new Nano. What a disaster and nightmare. If we did not already have the investment in the playlist, I would have brought it back and said to heck with it. Apple is so freaking worried about their proprietary rights that they bust the gut of the consumer. Not for us..

Useless Posted by: from: on ITunes would not recognize it. Online search said this was a common problem. Lots of try this or try that, nothing worked. Returned it. iTunes wouldn't recognize an iPod. And they're ok with that.

Wouldn't recommend if you want to dock. Posted by: from: on I upgraded from my original Ipod to gain more storage, period. I currently dock to a Bose radio to listen to music when I am at my cottage. The new Ipod doesn't allow you to dock anymore. You can attach with a composite cable. Why did Apple take this feature away. So, it's Bluetooth. What harm would it have caused to leave the Ipods dockable? Very disappointed. Just have to keep buying more cables, radios, whatever to adapt this thing. Very, very disappointed.

Works, but the battery life is nonsense Posted by: from: on I had an older generation Nano that I loved, but it finally died of old age and I replaced it last week. This one is fine as long as it's plugged in, so no problems listening in the car which is my primary use - but as soon as I unplug it and try to listen to music in my office or at the gym, I have about 45 minutes before the "low battery" warning. What is the point of a portable music player that can't be away from it's charger port?

Great product with just a couple of issues Posted by: from: San Jose, CA on Most of the iPod features work well...screen is clear, screen sensitivity is fine, easy to find what you need. Playlist building, settings, etc. all work well. The one big issue I have is battery life if you happen to leave bluetooth on both the ipod and the player device (whether headphones or stereo). If you do that, the battery drains away in just a day, even if you're not playing music. So it's important to remember, after your workout or whenever you're done listening, to remember to shut the bluetooth off on both devices if you want to use it a reasonable number of times before recharging. The other issue, of course, is that this new iPod won't connect with my older iPod chargers without the purchase of another adapter, as Apple changed its firewire port. I wish they would go universal! Other than that, a very nice device.

Enjoyment in a small package. Posted by: from: Central, Va on I mostly use this iPod Nano on my daily walk. Paired with a bluetooth headset, it is the thing that makes me want to get out and exercise. Fun and east to use.

Easy to use out of the box. Posted by: from: on Its unfortunate that Apple has chosen to discontinue the iPod Classic. As a portable music player, it was beefier all the way around. Although this player lacks the physical size and the memory capacity of the Classic, it still holds up as a great portable player with good sound. As long as it is handled with care, it should provide many years of satisfying service. I would recommend this product, but if Apple ever re-launched the iPod Classic, I would buy one up in a hurry.

Great iPod Nano. I love the operation and size. Posted by: from: Elk Grove, C on This iPod nano is another Apple Gem. Great tool for walking or jogging. I can tuck it inside my pocket and not have it weigh me down or slow me down. I only wish I could transfer my music list to it. Otherwise, I am very happy with my tiny iPod Nano.
