Not a fan, old one is better IMO Posted by: from: on I really dislike this keyboard, enough to go back to the old one. I love how it looks and the thinness of it, but the keys are just way too flat. By flat I mean they're really close to the board itself, so when you press the keys it doesn't have that enjoyable springy button pressing feeling. It almost feels like your tapping on something that doesn't push back at all. I ended up switching back to the old version.

Great Apple Keyboard Posted by: from: on I was torn between getting the Magic Keyboard 1 verses the 2. The battery tube caused my wrists to be bent while typing and since I've had trouble with carpal tunnel before, that's one of the reasons I chose the Magic Keyboard 2. The Keyboard 2 lays lays flat on the desk. I also debated getting the cheaper keyboards off amazon, but every review said that it would time out and disconnect from their computer. I have never seen the keyboard 2 disconnect unless I turn the powder off. I also like how I can re-charge the batter very easily.

Gret keyboard Posted by: from: on I went in to buy a 3rd party keyboard for my mac, but after looking at this model and comparing it to the others I decided to go ahead and get this instead. At first I was skeptical because of the compact size of the keyboard and non-removable battery, but as soon as I started using it these issues became irrelevant to me. I'm now used to the keyboard and love it. There is no connection drop, battery hasn't been charged yet. After using it for almost 3-4 weeks it still has over 85% charge left. Charging is also very quick btw.

Wireless freedom Posted by: from: Washington, D.C. on This is a great compliment to any Mac system. Paired with the wireless mouse, you have optimum mobility at your desk, couch, bed or any where you decide to work. Having the rechargeable feature makes life easier by eliminating the dependency on batteries. The rechargeable batteries have a pretty good life cycle between charges. I generally only have to charge the batteries every two weeks with moderate use. (Approx. 4-6hrs/day)

Magic Keyboard Posted by: from: Huntsville, AL on There was nothing wrong with the packaging or the device. It connected very easily and I have not had any problems whatsoever. Sales person was very nice and knowledgeable. Already have a magic mouse and the two paired well together. Crisp keystrokes

Best keypad, ever purchased. Posted by: from: on My orig. keyboard was ruined by myself, trying to clean with a dam towel....Don't ever do that! :( So, I purchased this board and it works perfectly, looks great, feels good to the touch, is lighter than the previous one, and IS Bluetooth, So no need for cord , unless charging. So, I love it! Pricey, but you usually have to pay for quality, its Apple so its all good.

Awesome Posted by: from: on I know it is crazy to spend this much for a keyboard but I love this keyboard. My old magic keyboard died after a battery exploded in it, this one does not require changing batteries as you can recharge it with a lightning cable. The only thing that some might not be into is that this keyboard is very flat and does not have any pitch to it. This is one thing that I am getting used to... That being said I still love this keyboard.

Apple does it again! Posted by: from: on Ushering in a new generation of products - this keyboard update is a long time in coming!!! Anyone who used the original Apple wireless bluetooth keyboard, knows how great of a design it was, reducing desk clutter, needing no wires, and running for (often months) on a single set of 3 AA batteries (later they came out with a 2 battery model.) Well, the major improvement this time, was a sleeker smoother design / thinner key profile, but most importantly, absolutely no batteries! With just a brief plug in with the lighting connector, your keyboard charges and runs optimally for extended periods of time (weeks/months depending on frequency of use.) My biggest complaint with the old model, was the batteries failing right in the middle of a project, and having to swap my AA battery rotation, and there was no way to use the keyboard during the charging, if I didn't have them ready. Never again will this be an issue. Simply use the lighting connector (any Apple user has this already nearby) and enjoy full keyboard usage while charging! Way-to-go, Apple!! Similar battery-less versions of the Apple mouse and Trackpad have been released as well, so we can say goodbye now to the recurring battery charging of the past!

Magic in the keyboard Posted by: from: on I was initially concerned with giving up my 10 key cabled keyboard but I don't really miss it at all. The keyboard is responsive and the charge lasts a long time without plugging it in. It does have one less delete key but other than that all the keys you use most are there and work great. I was even able to make it work with my Mac booted in Windows by plugging the lightning cable back in. It is about 2/3's the size of the standard cabled Apple Keyboard.

Great keyboard for my MacBook Posted by: from: on My older external Apple keyboard had its battery compartment sealed shut when the batteries leaked. I picked up the Magic Keyboard a few weeks ago for my 2008 MacBook. It has worked out, and still is working out, great. The setup was easy via Bluetooth, the keyboard is quiet and very smooth to use. I have occasionally connected it to my iPad mini for a little use, as well. I have not yet needed to charge it, but I feel better knowing that this keyboard has its own battery built in and can be charged via a Lightning cable. All in all, great product.
