Great little house helper! Posted by: from: on I have only had Rosie (hubby named it this after the Jetsons robot lol) for a few days now, but so far...I love it. Our entire downstairs is hardwood or tile with a few rugs, and I have a large dog. I was having to sweep at least 2-3 times a day, which was getting ridiculous. We purchased the Bissell robot vacuum and now I can't imagine why I did not get one sooner. It picks up my dogs fur beautifully, as well as all the dirt and daily mess of just walking through the house (where a teenager also lives!), so obviously the suction is adequate. It is a bit tricky to try to set the scheduling, but it just takes a little reading (I was impatient at first). It seems to have no issue going from hard surface to my rugs either. And unlike many reviews that I read and was concerned about, my little Rosie does not have any issue getting back to her home to recharge. I have it set to run in the middle of the night, it does not wake anyone although it does annoy the dog, and she is back on her charging base every morning! My only issue is that I wish I could set it to run more than once daily, but even that is not a big deal as during the day I can just take it off charge and let it run anytime I want...so all in all....excellent product so far, especially for so much less than any others.

Pretty good machine... Posted by: from: on Okay, I bought the Bissell because I didn't want to spend the ridiculously big bucks on the Zumba, and I found the Bissell on sale for next to nothing. Two issues I have are 1) I find that I spend a lot of time watching it do its thing, and 2) I haven't figured out how to program the barrier because the writing on the box is too small. I want to send pictures to all my friends of the amount of hair, fur, dust and unidentifiable stuff it picks up every time it runs, but that probably won't be as impressive to anyone else as it is to me. This is really a pretty good machine, especially for the money. And cheaper than dinner and a movie if you're looking for some entertainment!

Price is very attractive Posted by: from: on I will be honest, I didn't think that I would love this as much as a Roomba but I do! And for that price, I mean I'm almost tempted to purchase another as a housewarming gift. With a price that low it would be expected that quality is lacking but the battery life and the way it moves make up for that.

Not great with dog hair. Posted by: from: on We have a lab mix that sheds a lot. His hair gets caught in the roller instead of being sucked into the catch area. It never returns to the base to recharge and dies in the middle of the floor. When we put it on the base it needs to be put on perfectly or it doesn't charge. We didn't buy the remote because it didn't have enough functions for us. It can change the pattern of vacuum or manually move it left right forward or back, it cannot tell the vacuum to start or stop. Not overly impressed and would not spend the money.

Great deal! Posted by: from: on Works pretty good in my house of 6! I should have probably read the manual, however it works just fine for me! Very easy set up! Only gets stuck under one weird chair we have, so I just pick it up when I let my little buddy go! Lol My husband says its following him.....I told him, it's only encouraging him to clean more!

Hard To Program Posted by: from: Illinois on Found it is difficult, not intuitive, to program. Others have said if you loose power all your programming is lost, but we haven't lost power yet so can't confirm. I just wanted it to run when I left the house without a set program and contacting Bissell just led to more confusion. But, once I got it working I was impressed with the amount of pet hair it removed.

Nice way to keep ahead of the game Posted by: from: on I've let it go in my new house a few days now, It does not pick up everything, seems confused at times, but it is good at keeping up with things as we get the house settled. It spends a little time finding walls and corners but eventually figures it out. I am very surprised at all the dirt it has in the bin when I've emptied it. We have all wood floors, so no carpets to deal with, it does go over the few bumps (floor outlets) without fear. Finds the base unit every time so far. Programming is a little interesting, the base unit does not remember the schedule if it looses power, an unfortunate over sight. Seems like it may be a good idea to get the remote control. Longevity will be the true test, now that I know it can do the job; lets see for how long!

Not bad for the money Posted by: from: on 2700sf /hard floors. I looked at all the different brands and decided on this one based on price point and the lithium battery(9/10). I've heard and read about other brands/ models not cutting the mustard when it came to battery life, this little guy goes for a pretty decent amount of time before he quits (8/10). I was also worried it wouldn't clean the whole house, it does pretty ok but could probably use a friend(8/10),again 2700sf. When it comes to cleaning I'd say I'd does an okay job. It picks up quite a bit but not everything (7/10). It could be easier to program, but you get what you pay for (7/10). This won't replace your old vacuum, but may reduce the time and frequency you have to push it around; so a win. The good: competitively priced, relatively easy to maintain. Parts are available should you need them (I have not). Reduces time pushing old vacuum. The bad: AI could be more systematic in cleaning, doesn't always find its way to the charging dock, can clog with pet hair. (But to be fair we have more pets than I care to admit). Bottom line: For the money (~$225 +/- $25) it does a pretty ok job. Maybe at a higher price point it'll clean itself and pick up everything.

Scarlett is her name. Posted by: from: on This is our little buddy. It runs every day for 80 minutes and I caught it on a deal for $199 during labor day. My fiance and I have named her scarlett. She is great!

Awesome Vaccum Posted by: from: on I bought this vacuum since I'm out of town a lot and don't want to worry about vacuuming when I get back home. This vacuum is awesome, it has great suction and can reach places that I can't or don't want to. The only issue that I have is it's short run time (around 45 minutes on mainly regular carpet) & the fact that it doesn't know where it's base is until it gets really close. It would be nice for the base to emit a signal to tell the vacuum where to go exactly rather than the vacuum wasting 20 minutes driving around looking where to go. Other than that, amazing product.
