Q: Does it actually heat up the water?
A: No, you add hot water to the clean water solution tank. It doesn't heat up the water its self.
A: Yes, you can. I have cleaned deep stains from my uplhosletery with out issues.
Q: Can i clean my bed with this my dog pee peed on it i cleaned it but I can still smell the scent
A: Yes! I actually put vinegar and water in it and clean the mattress with that. I also then sprinkle some baking soda on it when it's still wet. Let dry and then vacuum it up. Bissell now makes a pet urine carpet cleaning solution that is fabulous.
Q: Can this be used on tile floors?
A: No. For the vacuum to get the right suction off a hard surface the tip of the nozzle will need rubber lips to get the right seal. This only has a hard plastic tip meant to work in carpet only.

Q: Can this clean a spots on my sofa?
A: Yes I cleaned my entire sofa after removing the stains. Made it look like new again.

A: I used it on my couch. It didn't harm the fabric or anything

A: I am not sure what your describing but it does come with instructions on how to use it on a staircase.
