A: IEEE 802.11 is the official standard for what is commonly called wifi. Whenever the IEEE modifies a specification they add an appendix to the end. The appendix's are given letters. A: Go in to settings then data usage then turn off data. I always do it when I'm around WiFi or when I'm not using the internet on my phone BC a lot of apps like facebook keep running when not using and constantly use up data.
