Q: Can you hook up your camera to this and take photos of what you see?

Q: Can this be for a 9 year old?
A: Yes, the Travel Scope 50 is small and lightweight and is a good choice for a young child to get started into the astronomy hobby, but we still recommend parental supervision. Sincerely, Garrett at Celestron
Q: Can the legs on this telescope extend to stand on the ground?
A: Yes, the Travel Scope 50 tripod is able to extend to the ground to provide more comfortable views.
A: You can take the Travel Scope 50 on an airplane, but it is recommended to bring it as carry-on luggage due the fragile nature of the telescope. The tripod, optical tube and accessories all fit into the backpack. The optical tube is 12" in length.
