A: There are a couple fo major differences between those two models, which are the handles and the cooktop burners. The FFEF3017LS has two 6" burners and two 9" burners, and features black plastic handles. The FFEF3048LS features two 6" burners, a 6"/9" expandable burner, and 12" burner along with stainless steel handles. Thank You, Frigidaire
