Wonderful, powerful food processor.
This food processor is great. I've made hummus better than ever before. The pulse action starts the processing off quickly, then it only takes a short burst of the #1 or #2 speed to finish. Everything was chopped to the desired texture very quickly. It is a powerful unit. It's sturdy base grips the counter so the unit stays in place. It cleans easily. It looks nice on the counter or you can store it easily. The only thing that is a slight hinderance is the locking mechanism for locking the bowl to the base, it's a bit hard to lock in place. All in all it's a great unit, I would recommend it totally.

I would recommend looking elsewhere
If you are buying your first food processor, I would recommend buying a much smaller model. This is my first experience with one this size, and it takes longer to process, and usually still leaves lumps. It is however, perfect for making banana ice cream, and the size is helpful in that case. Works best with creamy foods.

good basic food processor
We were looking for a basic medium-size model that didn't have a lot of discs and other additional attachments, nothing too fancy. So far it seems to chop and puree various things well, rather quickly and fairly evenly. The so-called 8 cup capacity may be a bit misleading though. Sometimes if you have more volume, it might be better to do things in two batches as opposed to throwing all your stuff in at once, especially liquids or ingredients with some liquids. Overall good but not for large amounts of food or large recipes.
