A: Only comes with a VGA cable.
Q: finish on the screen? Mat or glossy?
A: matte
Q: Is it normal for the screen to be lighter toward the bottom
A: The screen may be perfectly perpendicular to the surface, but you have to take into account your angle of viewing the screen. If you are sitting higher or standing, it would need to be tilted back, and if you were lower than the screen, it would need to tilted forward. Just make sure that you're eye level is perpendicular to the screen. If the brightness is still off, then make a call before your factory warranty runs out.
Q: Can it be connected with a HDMI cable?
A: I purchased one last week and had a similar issue. For $17 or less you can purchase a DVI Male to HDMI Female adapter. Works great.
Q: Does this moniter have a microphone
A: no, you wold have to buy an external microhpone
A: Yes, it will be compatible with any computer with a VGA, HDMI or DVI connection. Though it only comes with a vga cable. For better output you will need to purchase an HDMI or DVI cable.
