Worst Player Ever!
Posted by: charlottesmum from: easton, pa on
I bought it as a replacement for my daughter's room. The sound quality wasn't good right out of the box. I didn't care that much because it was just to play her cds at night and I didn't expect top quality sound for that price. Within a week or so it started skipping. I finally got around to buying a memoriex cdplayer cleaner and ran it today. Still skips occasionaly and now makes a scratchy noise too. It looks like it is too late to return it even though I just bought it in June. She can't sleep without the music and even the three year old is commenting on the noises it makes. I'll need to get a new one...I'm so mad. The one we replaced this with last three years before it broke.

Got this as a gift and had no receipt. Needed it for playing CDs. Put several CDs in and none of them worked. It would spin for a minute or so and then an EC would show up on the display. This is a piece of junk. Didn't have receipt so couldn't take it in or return it. Useless. Spend a little extra to get something that actually works.

Good until CD player stopped working
Posted by: mascara47 from: Los Angeles, CA on
I really liked this little unit for my daughter's room, until the CD player stopped reading CD's. The unit is less than a year old, and it had an easy life just sitting on a shelf. Unfortunately it only comes with a 90-day warranty. I have had other inexpensive boom boxes that read CD's longer than this, including another Insignia that is 2 years older. Disappointed it died so fast.

Great Paperweight or Bludgeoning Device.

So, I figured I would purchase a simple cd player and radio for work so we wouldn't have to sit in silence and gradually loose our minds. This seemed to be perfect because Insignia had been pretty good over the years. After 2 televisions that were great, I figured this was a safe bet. Nope. Skips more than a hyperactive jumproper, on brand new cds. No scratches, just skips during every song. That was for the first few weeks, now it refuses to read any cds. The radio is just as good, considering it has worse reception than AT&T. This couldn't pick up a radio station if it was on top of the tower. Best part, it is in great condition considering we take care of our things here (the radio this replaced was a good 10 years old and just wore out). I assumed I would be getting a radio and cd player, but I instead got a piece of junk. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I bought this product less than a year ago and it started skipping. I bought another one less than 4 months ago. Same problem. The CD plays fine in any other CD player. DON'T BUY IT!!!!!!!!

Streamlined and Functional

A great little cd player that is functional, streamlined, compact and required minimal setup. I purchased this item to listen to music, etc. for working out in the home. It works great and I'm happy with my decision. For the price, you can't go wrong! Thank you Best Buy!

CD player skips right out of the box. First CD skipped so I tried two more with the same results. Low Price = Low Quality = No Value

This is a piece of junk

This item is just like everything else I have run into from insignia. Cheap, lacking features that it even advertises (like a headphone jack). It says it has a headphone jack and it absolutely does not!!! Also returned this twice for not functioning properly in one month!!! Stay far from this one unless you want a headache!!!

Not Worth The Money!!!

Bought this so I could listen to CDs while I did things in the kitchen. Every CD I put into it skipped, got stuck, or had a static background noise. Took it back to the store the day after I bought it because I was afraid it would damage my CDs! Definitely a big disappointment!!

We bought this for my folks. They didn't have anything that they can play CD's on and we wanted something small. Couldn't find a regualr radio that didn't have i-pod docking with CD player included, so we went to the stores to find something. Looked several places before finding this little gem...Perfect! Paid for it in SC and was able to pick a store close to Mom in Arizona for her to pick it up as a gift. What a great bunch of employee's at Best Buy on BOTH ENDS! Went off without a hitch and Mom is very happy! She said the sound is really great and it's easy to move without being cumbersome. She listens everyday to her Jersey Boys CD and Loves this radio!!! I don't see how you can miss. The price was half of what the competition wanted and much nicer and better quality. Buy it if you are looking for same features as we were. Can't miss!!!
