I've tried several different brands, from Skull Candy, Sony, Beats, Seinnheiser, Bose and the sound on these Klipsch are far better in terms of crisp, clean, natural sound. The bass is rich and deep without any distortion (unlike with Beats) and the vocals are clear and spacious (unlike with Seinnheiser). This is not to bash any other brands, each brand has a signature sound and preferences vary on an individual basis, but I will say I searched for the perfect sound and for this price range this was the only product that satisfied my ears.
The pros:
- Great battery life, similar to the Powerbeats 2 but these have an auto shut-off when you turn the bluetooth.
- Reliable bluetooth connection, better than the Powerbeats 2 wireless, which would cut off on me randomly even when sitting right next to my phone. The Klipsch R6 paired easily with every device, no problems, not once.
- High-quality sound. I take sound very seriously for the simple fact that I love a good audio mix. These headphones are so accurate and clear that my sense of music is renewed and I want to go back and listen to all my favorite songs again. The bass is great without any modifications (unlike Beats) and the mids and highs are amazingly clear and sound beautiful. When I put them on I'm always reminded of how great sounding a pair of headphones can be, especially wireless ones.
-Nice light fit, they don't feel heavy or ever feel annoying. They hang gently over your ear and the ear buds go in just like regular in-ears, this was a huge pro for me as I absolutely hated the fit of my Powerbeats, but the Powerbeats had a better fit for running even though they didn't always stay put. (For the Klipsch I use the biggest earpads for a snug fit and a nice seal, this is where I get the best sound.)
The cons:
-They do tend to fall off your ears if you move your head enough, but it hasn't been a problem for me because I don't use them to go running and when walking they stay put just fine.
-Would be great if they came with a hard case to protect them. The Powerbeats came with a really nice (yet bulky) case which I use for these.
-Something to hold them in place from falling off your neck. They stay in place pretty well, but when hanging on your shoulders it would be great if we could have something to prevent it from ever falling off, just we forget they're there.
-The fit could be better especially for people who plan to run or move their head a lot.
I've only had them for about a month so I don't know how long they will last, but I did put the warranty on them so I'm comfortable using them as I please. The build is nice and sleek and the packaging was very appealing. They feel durable but still delicate in some ways. All in all these headphones are some of the best, especially in their price range. Truly beautiful high quality sound that is simply unmatched (especially if you find the right fit for your ears, so be sure to test the ear pads, you want them to fit snug and seal out noises from your environment).
I have a pair of Seinnheiser HD280's and these Klipsch rival them in sound by far, with the exception of the nice bass on the HD280s (you simply cannot beat over the ears when it comes to a sound experience, but these in-ears sure do give them a fair competition). I definitely prefer the sound way more than any Beats product where the bass is far too synthetic and becomes muddy and distorted at times. When the bass gets deep on these R6's it stays nice and clear but still goes to the same depths, just without the muddiness and rumble. (Some people like the extra bass, I used to but now I want the cleanest sound possible.)
After going through dozens of pairs of headphones, I'm finally satisfied with these Klipsch R6 Wireless headphones. This is actually my first Klipsch purchase but I will definitely be trying more Klipsch products in the future. If I had to buy these headphones again I'd do it gladly.
