2nd mouse. One for me and my son Posted by: from: on I bought this mouse because I needed a cheap, bluetooth mouse. I prefer using AA rechargeable batteries because many electronics I purchase tend to use them, so having to find the right batteries that fit are easy because I always have a pair on standby... but enough about the batteries, this mouse is very comfortable to hold and has a pretty good range. I use it at work when I am doing a demonstration on a PC and I don't want to be tethered directly to a pc by a limited cable. It has all the basic functions I need to work with, attractive design, nifty storage bin for the wifi dongle, it emits a light to tell you green for good and red for time to change batteries. I originally purcased this mouse years ago. To my surprise my eldest child needed a mouse and happen to pick the same mouse for the same price that I paid. He uses this microsoft branded mouse on his macbook pro and now has all the right click features that wouldn't normally exist on a a mac mouse. They changed the packinging to promote windows 10 so now the box is blue. Cheap, effctive, comfortable, and worth every penny

MICROSOFT MOUSE 4000 Posted by: from: on The mouse works great, very responsive with virtually no delay in mouse movement and cursor movement. The big improvement over the Microsoft Mouse 3000 I have owned for over 10 years (son dropped mouse on tile floor) was the wheel. The wheel is a smooth as silk and there is no problem moving the wheel and pushing down on the wheel which caused adverse effects when editing. Great mouse at a good price. Will by another for my desktop shortly. Batteries on my old 3000 mouse lasted 4 months, battery life on the new 4000 mouse should be around 6-7 months.

Not worth the time spent buying it Posted by: from: Wisconsin on I bought this without doing a lot of research - my mouse had died, and I had the time to stop at Best Buy after work. It was on sale, and it seemed like it would be serviceable. Got home, followed the installation instructions, and tried to use the mouse. It didn't work. Tried it again (after I restarted my PC), and it finally worked - but it was so jittery I couldn't use it. I thought maybe there was too much interference, since I plugged the USB receiver into the back of my machine, so I put it into the front one and restarted. That helped a little bit for about five minutes, and then the quality declined again. I updated the drivers, kept restarting my PC, and it just didn't work. Even tried fresh batteries from my stash. No dice. Maybe I just had a faulty one, because the Logitech one I exchanged this for works like a dream. If you do take a chance on it, it's a bit on the small side - it would work well as a portable mouse. Didn't bother me much, but it might be a deterrent to some.

Cute Mouse but Extremely Terrible Transceiver Life Posted by: from: Newark, NJ on I purchased this mouse for my Dell Inspiron laptop last year in the spring less than 6 months later, the transceiver overheated and failed to be recognized. I called microsoft since this mouse comes with a 3 year warranty, they sent me out another one in pink same thing, overheated in even less time than the first one. I am now debating ordering another one since it does indeed have a 3 year warranty but i'm also considering purchasing a logitech wireless mouse. This mouse sucks in a nutshell. The best part about it is that it's easy to use, great on battery life, and has great accuracy when it's working but the transceiver life is very short and I have heard and read this in multiple reviews so I know it's something with this product. So beware!

EXCELLENT Mouse! Might buy a second! Posted by: from: Portland, OR on Bought this mouse to use on my laptop to use for FPS gaming. Ended up being a really good mouse! I bought a netbook and ended up using it on that as well. Since it's a real good mouse, I might buy a second mouse of the same kind and use it on that. I like it a lot! Wireless receiver fits on the underside of the mouse, which is convenient for traveling. Just make sure you don't lose it. My mouse is white, not black, though.

It feels good except the middle click Posted by: from: VA on It has a very quiet clicking noise. I also use a mouse pad with wrist resting on it, and the mouse size is very good. I could define many different tasks for all four keys. The software also lets me change the scrolling speed on both directions. The only thing that is annoying is the middle click that is hard to push and is noisy too. The software had some good feature in it too.

Works great, simple mouse with back button Posted by: from: West Windsor, NJ on Good value at $20. I chose this over the 3500 because it had a "back" button. Also, I have a laptop that wouldn't work with 3 other wireless mice I had and this one works perfectly.

Excellent (-1 star for hard to configure buttons) Posted by: from: on Still can't get my thumb button to work otherwise it has great feel and the movements are accurate. It seems to be well built (I've had it one month). I play games as well as use it for Photoshop and general work so the mouse will see heavy use - i expect it will be up to the task.
