Good quality, great show
Discs work well, and though the show continues a trend towards darker themes - ahh, stop killing off favorite characters to get those grim 'surviving-characters-deal-with-the-aftermath episodes' ! Isn't ANYone allowed to be happy, or have even one not-aggravating parent*? - the teamwork, character interactions, plotting in both individual episodes and the overall arcs, acting, and writing is top notch.
*I mean, besides Abby, who as one of TV's most original characters of any gender, is delightful, and appears to be the one NCIS lead who by all accounts has great family relationships. Yay, Abby! :)

great last episode
I gave this season a five because of the last episode. Quite frankly I've been very bored with the Tony character and "actor" playing him since the first season. Don't care for the actress playing Zeva either. Kate should not have been replaced. The other actors carry the show. The staging of Ducky's heart attack, David M's acting, and the wonderful cinematography of that last scene was perfect. I actually shed a tear.

I love NCIS
I love NCIS so this is not a unbiased review. I also misplaced season nine so I bought a new season nine. I'm looking forward to season eleven DVDs, and the new season 12 this coming Tuesday. This is the only tv show which I have the complete series. My one complaint is that the producers of the DVDs went cheap and no longer prints pictures on the DVD as they did the first few seasons. : (
