A great alternative to Bluetooth Posted by: from: Near New York City on When I started researching for solutions to the radiation issue associated with cellular phones, I have discovered that Bluetooth actually amplifies the radiation, so my mission to find the perfect solution led me to the Panasonic Hands-Free Headset (KX-TCA93). This unit works out of the box without the need to charge a battery or worry about signal drops. But the best part is that everyone I spoke to on the very first call didn't realize I was speaking on a headset! I got compliments with everyone -- it was a 100% success and the best part, I feel more confident speaking with this headset than holding a phone (I keep the phone in my pocket and never have to worry about dropping it (been there, done that)). This unit has the 2.5mm plug, which is the perfect solution for my cell phone (LG EnV2). The cable has a clip to secure to my clothing with a volume wheel and a mute button (press & hold). The ear-clip can swivel to fit over either the left or right ear. The foam padding sits against the ear and nothing enters the ear canal. The tight fit did take some time to get used to and believe it or not, but there were times when I didn't even realize that I was wearing it -- the comfort level is also very good. Since there is no headband, this unit is very portable. I may purchase a second one as a backup (that's how good this unit really is). But the best part when compared to Bluetooth headphones is the price! With a 100% success rate, I shall highly recommend this product.

Great Set for 20 Bucks Posted by: from: St Augustine, Florida on I have no problems hearing with this headset, and my customers hear me just fine. Tone and volume wise, this $20 set exceeds my $100 Bluetooth headset. Perhaps some of the people experiencing problems with this set should look at the phone they are using. I am using a Panasonic KX-TGA652 cordless 6.0 phone, and the sound is great with or without the headset. I would recommend this model without hesitation.

You get what you pay for Posted by: from: on I deliver regular technical webinars (web-based training) and depend on a good-quality headset. Since I'm using a Panasonic phone (Panasonic KX-TGA101S), I bought a Panasonic headset. Normally, they build great electronics. Unfortunately, the microphone volume is too low on this headset and my students were always asking me to repeat things. I switched to a Platronics M214C headset which cost a little more ($32), but the voice-quality is substantially better. I did a back-to-back test with several people, and the Platronics wins hands-down.

Don't waste your time Posted by: from: Cleveland, Ohio on The audio was (according to my callers) VERY POOR. I can't use it EVERYONE complains and asks me to call them back. I was using this for a Crisis Hotline... as a volunteer. The only thing I volunteered here was to throw my money away! (I pitched the packaging so I don't think I can return it.)

Incoming Volume is Poor Posted by: from: on I purchased this product from the local Best... electronics store on the 12th of June for just under nineteen dollars with tax and returned it within hours. The person on the other end could hear me just great. Unfortunately, I could not hear them and only read this as a common issue after-the-fact. I could deal with this issue if I was guaranteed to be in a quiet area a lot of the time, but it is not the case. With the volume on the phone and on headset turned all the way up, hearing the person at the other end of the call was just short of a whisper. My hearing is fine. The plastic ear hanger can swivel to allow for wearing it on the left ear or right ear. I didn't feel it was uncomfortable although a pain to put on and take off repeatedly. I felt it was flexible without being fragile. It's too bad this one didn't work out. If the incoming sound would have been just the slightest bit louder, it would have been a product I would be using. The clip to keep the cord out of the way can also be disconnected and adjusted to where along the cord you would like it to go. It also will swivel. I want to confirm the plug is 2.5mm. It was exchanged for the Rocketfish RF-HF22. The other brand is in the same price range and has good reviews at the place made my original purchase from. Hope this helps.

Adequate headset Posted by: from: Louisville on This is not the best, but it is also not the worst headset for the money. The earpiece is comfortable, and the speaker is loud enough to easily hear through. The microphone is not so great at separating voices from background noise, but in a semi quiet environment it will do just fine.

Excellent Headset Posted by: from: Anaheim, CA on I use the hands free headset on a daily basis. It works great for me, that when I am on the phone, I can continue doing my work on the computer. The only problem is the microphone, it is not very sensitive, so I have to speak louder each time I use it.

No so great Posted by: from: Homer, AK on I find the ear piece hard to get on then once on, does not feel secure. I will be looking for another headset. The sound and reception are just mediocre.
