Connect your Bluetooth-enabled devices to this Pioneer VSX-530-K A/V receiver for simple audio streaming. Includes HDMI 4K Ultra HD and 3D pass-through technologies for compatibility with 3D TVs, Blu-ray players and gaming consoles and 4K Ultra HD TVs.
Q: What is meant by pass through
A: This means you can connect you Blu Ray player, Satellite, or Game console to the receiver via HDMI and the receiver channels the same resolution video signal back out and into the TV. You'll notice on the back of the receiver there are multiple HDMI inputs for devices and 1 HDMI output for the TV. It's meant to streamline your device sound options. So essentially, The video signal is "Passing Through" the receiver to the TV. Hope that helps.
A: The age of the speakers do not matter as long as they are in good shape. The only reason anyone would want a subwoofer is for bass. If you feel you are getting good quality low bass tones from your existing speakers then you my friend are good to go. On the other hand if you feel the need to actually feel the rumble such as when let's say an explosive scene occurs like in action movies or when listening to music with deep low bass frequencies as is found in most rap music and your insides rattle then a subwoofer is for you.
Q: Does the use of banana plugs make better sound quality since its only two on this receiever?
A: Banana plugs won't inherently improve sound quality. They will improve your ability to make better connections, though, which may sound better.
Q: WILL THIS WORK WITH SONO SOUNDBAR & DIFINITIVE 600 5.1 SPEAKERS
A: It will work with the soundbar if it has RCA inputs. I would not recommend using a soundbar with a receiver. They are really two different worlds.
A: Yes. You can connect your devices to this receiver using the various inputs. Then you will connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT on the receiver and the other end to the HDMI IN on the TV.
Q: USB Connection & Apple Products
A: I would suggest you just use the Audio in AUX input on the back and connect it to your phone that way. Just buy a cheap AUX to headphone jack cord from any big box store and that should give you the desired result.
