Q: how long is a typical wash cycle?
A: The standard cycle is just over an hour. But if you use the 'quick wash' it's just about 30 minutes. We have found that the quick wash works great for your average load of wash. They come out clean and smelling great.
Q: Small vs large load settings?
A: The reason the machine rolls the drum around a few times before it starts to add water is because it's weighing the clothes. It fills based on the weight.,
Q: Is this particular washer big enough to wash a king sized comforter?

Q: Can i use liquid detergent or do i have to use powder?
A: You can use either one. But if you use powder the liquid tray insert needs to be removed. Also if you use Tide Pods, they get thrown right into the washer. There's also trays for softener or bleach.
A: I have washed our accent pillows twice now on delicates with steam with great results.
Q: why does washer not fill up more than initial fill amount on "normal" cycle?
A: Thanks for the question. It isn't unusual for the Washer to fill with different amounts of water when different cycles or options are selected, and the automatic weight sensor also helps determine how much water will be added. It's likely that the conditions you're trying to imitate with the different settings will behave differently with clothes in the Washer than with an empty drum. Also, in a Normal cycle, the initial fill is not representative of the amount of water used for the full wash. The nature of HE front loaders is to saturate the clothes in a mixture of soap and water and tumble them, but not to immerse them, and more water is added at different points in the cycle based on the selected options, soil level, and number of rinses needed. I hope this helps to answer you're question. If you find that there isn't enough water to saturate the clothes and they aren't coming clean, please make sure the hot and cold water valves are turned on all the way, the supply hoses are unkinked and there are no obstructions in the hoses or in the inlet hose screens on the back of the washer.
