Heavensward is heavens sent. A game that truly expands on such an incredible game. If you have not dipped your boots into this game, there's no better time to start. For the new people: 3 new characters have been added without the need for a subclass. That makes getting into the game that much easier. There is also a packaged game that has both the full game and the expansion. For those that are veterans: what are you waiting for? This is a no brainier. You will need this expansion in order to see the all new content, which feels like a new game itself. It includes: •New Race: Au Ra •New Jobs: Dark Knight - Astrologian - Machinist •New Flying Mounts •New Dungeons - Raids - Lands to explore •New Level Cap : 60 If you are a fan of Final Fantasy, this one truly stands out there as one of the best, regardless being online only. If you have a PS4 and want an online game, Final Fantasy Heavansward is the game to get!

FFXIV Heavensward adds a more than appreciable amount of content to what was already an immensely satisfying base game. 3 additional jobs, 10 more levels to advance thru with new quests lines and abilities for already existing classes and the promise of more end game raiding content for the future gives players many options to what to pursue over the course of their tenure .

This is a fantastic game. The story and gameplay are top notch, better than any other mmo that is out right now. Only draw back is there is the $14.99 a month fee but that is typical for a high quality mmo.

This expansion is needed if you want to progress any further in the game after completing the Realm Reborn. The disc isn't needed if you bought A Realm Reborn as a digital version. There is a code inside the case that is necessary to activate this expansion. You will the be required to download an update, even if you were on the latest patch. After that is complete, you now have access to the new race, the three new jobs (if you reached level 50 in one other class), and the new area and quests (if you finished the final main story quest in A Realm Reborn). The level cap is now increased to level 60. If you already have A Realm Reborn, this is a must buy.

This expansion is providing new luster to the gem that is FFXIV online. I am very much enjoying the new territories and classes that have been added to the world of Eorzea. Also, the new items are cool. You do have to get to a certain point in the Main Storyline Quests (MSQ) before you can access these though, just a heads up. Just remember that if you buy this game USED, you will still have to purchase an unused Verification Code that you will need to enter before you can load this expansion and play it.

First of all, if you're a fan of Final Fantasy or just looking for an excellent MMO, you need to get A Realm Reborn and Heavensward along with it. This is the expansion to it, and it's definitely worth it because of everything from the new locations, new dungeons, equipment, and raised level cap. Not to mention the music! The music from Heavensward and FFXIV in general are amazing, I would say this MMO has one of the best music ever. Great game, great expansion, great music, great gameplay, and great graphics.

The story is just as good of not better than ARR. Not to mention new classes, flying mounts etc... Worth it if you are already playing.

I'm not a big MMO guy, as I prefer to play games at my own speed by myself. This is such a fantastic Final Fantasy game (one of my favorites ever) and is extremely solo friendly. Of course, that's just the base game. Sorry, I can't review the expansion itself (haven't had it long enough) but all the changes I've seen (more races, classes and flyable mounts!) are well done.

this expansion adds new jobs and new areas to play. especially the gold saucer theme park. its a great update from playing FFXI from all the years before. the graphics are spectacular. only thing is the monthly fee which is bad. already paying monthly for interest and psn so why add more cost for us

I haven't finished all of the content in this expansion, but I have really enjoyed the time I have spent with it so far. The story and gameplay is on par with what you have come to expect with FFXIV. With gamers club unlimited, the price is well worth it. FFFFFF

Final fantasy xiv online is a brilliant game with tons to do. And now with the heavensward expansion there is even more to do. The story is amazing and the game play is top notch. Heavensward adds so much cool new things to an already awesome game

Made with love and dedication for the fans of Final Fantasy. A beautiful game, mechanically deep, but ultimately marred by the "bad apples" of the community. There is far too much dependency within dungeons for every player to know every aspect of the area. If you did not study up on the later dungeons prior to entering with a pick up group, you could find yourself harassed or booted for not dedicating out of game time to diligent preparation. The majority of the community is great but those few can ruin a session so easily. If you are playing this game with friends or a great FC, you will enjoy the game for years. If you are not willing to do the appropriate networking to build your social base, this game's shine will tarnish much quicker upon reaching endgame.

Final Fantasy XIV is the best FF game in a long while - blows away XIII and it's mediocre sequels. You can play most of it solo, so don't let the MMORPG concept scare you off - take the plunge!

got this for my nephew and he loves Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward - PlayStation 4 he says it makes the game more fun . more things to do and raids and more quest

Square enix did an amazing job with the expansion. Great gameplay, good story, amazing graphics and great in game features

This game is pretty fun. Lots of content. Closer to WoW than FFXI was. Much easier than FFXI, but looks much better!

If you're a fan of FFXIV vanilla, this is more of what you love. They have refined the questing system a bit by properly funneling you through areas and you'll find yourself running up against a level gate much less blocking you from story missions and forcing you to grind. The addition of flying mounts is a nice bonus and I think the way you unlock them is done well by requiring you to do some exploring. It's a nice way for them to show off the beautiful zones they've created.
