Q: Is this dryer energy star certified?
A: Thanks for your interest in the DV56H9000EP. While the Eco Mode and Sensor Dry cycles available on this model can help to save energy and time compared to models without these features, Energy Star introduced their standards for clothes dryers only recently, and this particular model is not Energy Star rated. - Ms. Samsung
Q: where does this machine vent?
A: Out of the box it vents out the back but there is a side venting kit available model DV-1A. Unfortunately Best Buy did not have it in stock so I ended up getting it from a home improvement store for $50.
Q: is there a specific left or right hole vent?
A: Hi J, the exhaust is actually on the bottom in the center of the dryer. A venting kit would allow for other venting options. ^Rosi
