Q: Will this work with the Samsung Galaxy s7?
A: Absolutely, have one for my S7 Active
Q: Will this work with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4?
A: Yes, I bought it to go with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (Sprint) purchased the November 1st, so probably the 2nd batch if it makes a difference. It worked just fine for mirroring my device's screen. Only issue is you need a HDMI cable in addition also it will not keep your phone charged. On power saving mode and turning the screen brightness all the way down while streaming Netflix took about 20-30% battery every hour.
Q: Can the device charge while using this?
A: When plugged in, the device will normally show charging. It really depends on what the USB side is plugged into. Some devices may not provide enough power to charge the phone. But normally it will show the charging signal while in use. I bought this for use in a car, and it will charge while synced to the stereo receiver.
Q: Do I need any special Kind of TV - Mine has HDMI inputs, but it is not a smart tv
A: No you only need to plug the device in your HDMI ports. It doesn't matter if it's a smart tv or not.
Q: Will this work with Samsung galaxy tab A
A: this cable will work with any micro usb connection. I use mine for a Tab A and galaxy S5

A: Yes, this product will still work on a Note 3 without the display.
