One of the best

The other review for these says it doesn't have a good sound output. Like most audiophile grade earphones, these have a high impedance (in this case 150 ohms), meaning that you will need a headphones amp that can handle at least 150 ohms to power these to full quality. They work without an amp but won't sound nearly as good or as loud, however with an amp these will blow most gaming headsets out of the water.

Highly Recommend the Sennheiser Y adapter, (at this price it should be added) giving you the ability of a much wider range of accessibility for this outstanding piece of technology.
Packaging is superb! Comes with a nice zipper hard shell travel case.
The build of these headphones, (at this price) worry me as overzealous mishandling could break these babies, however I have slept on them throughout the night listening to the newest radiohead album, and they have survived multiple nights, mic is untouched! So comfort is a big old fat plus! Durability as I could only hope these last a life time feel pretty good. Metal components in the hinges make it durable in all the right spots!
As having audio studio experience with past Sennheiser headsets, I've always grown very fond of the straight cord design! No tangles and personally love the almost velvet touch housing around the wiring! Sennheiser I love your products.
Truly shines if you already own a headphone amplifier, whether that's jamming the latest gamage or the more interacted music composition.
BUY THIS HEADSET or waste your money on unattainable audio blunderbuss to the cranium.

Best Quality ... but PC or Mixamp required.
Posted by: Wise from: on
The "Game Zero" is a multi-platform headset ... unlike the "Game One" designed for PC. My Game Zero" review is based on use with my XBox One and compared with my "Astro A40 with M80 Mixamp", and "Astro A40 TR with Mixamp Pro".
- Best quality and feel of all my headsets ... most comfortable.
- Best customer support ... easy and timely access. Whereas Astro has "NO" phone support ... and response time is a few days which is unacceptable and just plain horrible.
Even though the ohms to drive the headset has been reduced to 50 ohms (use to be 150 ohms). The controller is unable to provide adequate power ... thus the sound is weak even at full volume.
(Attempts to use my Astro M80 Mixamp with it failed due to Astro's proprietory TSSSR plug).
Connected it to my Astro Pro Mixamp and the sound is on par with my "Astro A40 TR" headset ... and this is the way I use it. (Only when I hook them directly to TV for additional power do the headphones shine over all the others (but no mic when hooked up this way).

Ok headset, does not output enough sound
Posted by: Spug from: on
I have owned numerous headphones in my life, and I hoped these would be something special. They are not, they do not output enough sound either on my PC, or PS4. I bought the adapter to work with my PS4 controller, and the sound is laughable. I may have received a bad set, but overall, these are not worth the price, nor do they perform like top tier headphones. Pass.
