Q: Does this have manual height adjustment?

A: There is not a manual height adjustment. However, you can control the amount of suction and you can turn the carpet power brush on and off. This model works well on my new carpet (the padding has the moisture barrier on the top), where a Miele, Dyson, and Hoover did not work well. The Miele required a $279 power brush attachment, on top of the $500 price, and the Dyson had too much suction for the way new carpets are installed today. The Hoover did an OK job, but was difficult to push, even with manual height adjustment.

A: My nv681 says 9.2 amps right on the back of the vacuum. It also says 1100 watts.. I don't know where people are getting the lower numbers.

A: The NV681 Shark Vacuum has a HEPA Media filter system with sealed technology. Filter is washable!!!

A: Not sure of exact weight but it as light as. Very easy to use and move around. If you want a lite one this will definitely make you happy.

A: there is an easy button to press on bottom. Hands never have to get dirty either.

Love Shark Products
I love Shark and will only buy that brand. This particular model follows the Dyson. When vacuuming you move the handle one way and the head goes a different direction. This one is kind of hard to manage physically. It has suction power and the base does remove to help get those hard to reach places. Just going to need to get used to the mobility of it. Other then that, I love it!

By far the best vacuum I've used.
This vacuum has fantastic suction and is excellent at cleaning floors and amazingly fantastic at cleaning carpets. It is light and very easy to use and to empty. The vacuum usually must be emptied fairly frequently after using , especially with carpets, but not having to use and replace bags is a huge plus. It is lightweight and easy to carry. The only negative I have is that it could be a little easier to navigate. It is a far better vacuum that the one I purchased several years ago that was a top of the line and much more expensive.

Light, feature-packed Shark Rotator
I needed a new vacuum in a hurry, and considered Dyson, Hoover and Shark brands. I chose the Shark because it is relatively lightweight, easy to maneuver, and quickly converts to a canister. It has a long cord, which is more than a convenience... it decreases cleaning time, not having to plug and unplug the vacuum so often. Once you learn which buttons remove the dust bin, remove and replace the canister, and remove the hoses for manual cleaning, it is a snap to use. The canister and turbo brush work well on carpeted stairs. The upright has two controls on the handle, which change the amount of suction and turn the power brush on and off. The white lights on the upright are very useful as they show the dust and debris on the floor. This model comes with a separate cleaning head with a microfiber pad, for use on hard floors. I have not tried it yet. Pros: small, lightweight, easy to maneuver. Canister and cleaning tools. Hard floor cleaning head. Long cord. Cons: small dust bin. Canister sometimes hard to snap back in place.
