Q: How to connect to Samsung BN64-02175a-00
A: I have a very similar Samsung and the only way to connect using an optical cable is with a special adapter that should have come with the Samsung. It will look like a 3.5mm jack (headphone jack) on one end and will have a S/PDIF connector on the other. Just do a Google search for "Samsung optical adapter" and you'll see it and hopefully you still have it in one of your drawers.
Q: Can I control this sound bar with DirectTV/Suddenlink/DishNetwork type satellite remote?
A: If you configure your TV settings correctly, the volume up and down should work fine. All other Sound Bar controls are done with remote but once they are set, they return each time the TV is turned on. If problems persist, contact the nice technicians at Sony Support online and they will help you.
Q: how do you turn up the wireless subwoofer
A: If you stand by the sound bar and have the remote, you can scroll through the menu by reading the digital display. If I remember right, it will say SW and then volume associated with it. But I haven't played with it enough to see if it sticks or if the volume has to be adjusted every time it is used.
Q: what is the height of the bar?
A: Hi, Here are the dimensions of this sound bar. 900 mm × 51 mm × 117 mm (35 1 /2 in × 2 1 /8 in × 4 5/8 in) (without wall mounting brackets) 900 mm × 120 mm × 72 mm (35 1 /2 in × 4 3/4 in × 2 7 /8 in) (with wall mounting brackets) Thanks, >Joffrey
Q: Does it have amplification in the sound bar?
A: You do not need a receiver and the sound is still pretty amazing for the price. The ARC interface makes installation super easy.
