I'm am happy with my new tripod, so far. It is solidly built; with a nice finish. The camera mount is unique, at least for my experience. Well thought out.

Had tried a lesser quality tripod, bad mistake. Way too lightweight to trust with a good camera. This one is great. Heavier, and just feels more stable. Recommend.

I bought this tripod, not only for it's height, but also for it's stoutness. I have travel tripods, desktop tripods but I wanted something trustworthy enough to put on the back porch with my Sony a6000 on it to take snapshots of hummingbirds, wildlife and such and not have to worry about the thing falling over. If you want a lightweight backpacking tripod, look elsewhere. But if you want a tripod that the legs don't wobble on, , has secure fittings, has an extra 8-12 inches of height and you don't mind a little extra weight then this certainly is an option. I like mine, it does what I bought it for and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
