My daughter loves art, so I thought I would buy her this to encourage her to continue drawing. It's is a very cool concept, love the colors, etc. but the pad is not as responsive, it is difficult to follow. It's hard to finish a drawing too.
Haven't played much with it yet, but I can see kids, or even adults, getting somewhat frustrated when trying to draw something.
We love technology, and overall we like the udraw, it has a lot of potential. Perhaps they will improve it in the next version.

It is an okay tablet to pass the time when the kids are tired of shooting at zombies and want to go back to playing simpler games. They have the one for the Wii and have not seen them get much use out of it, but once in a while, it would get pulled out to play for a couple of hours.
This Xbox tablet was purchased for $5, but I would not have paid more for it knowing how little use they get out of the one for the Wii. Maybe if there were a ton of games and the tablet was not so clunky, and at times, unresponsive, it would be a more valuable addition.
I think that for those who want their kids to doodle, color, (or have family members who like to get creative without the waste of paper and mess of acrylic paint) this is a good pass-the-time addition.

THQ or Toy Headquarters is a former game publisher probably best known for the Red Faction and Saints Row series. They endeavored to do more and gambled more than they should have. uDraw was a neat idea in a time of big peripherals. As for an art game, my then 4 year old daughter really enjoyed it (and still does). We got it on the cheap when they were liquidating stock so it is harder to find. There were several games made that take advantage of the peripheral. If you are interested in something creative and interesting, look no further!

my 6yr old can control this drawing program just fine, but my 4yr old gets frustrated at it. I tried it and i can't get the hang of the motions... i guess i'm too used to using a mouse and keyboard!

UDraw is a great game when you are looking for something different to play. No role playing, or fighting. We especially enjoy the paint maze section of the game. We haven't tried out all of the parts, but we are having fun, nonetheless.
